I let out a deep breath, it was unbelievable to look back at my life and see where I had ended up. In bloody Hogwarts. Never would I imagine starting my forth year in a new school, away from everything I know and with no friends. I closed my eyes and leaned back in my seat as I stared out the window and reminisced.

*flashback*

I sat back down in my chair after being questioned. My back was straight, and my leg was shaking as I nervously looked at the door, when it was the supposed witnesses turn to testify. As the door opened my leg immediately stopped shaking and my jaw dropped slightly as I looked at the person going through the door in horror.

By the time she was done with her testimony, I couldn't do anything other than staring at the air blankly. I was shocked and my brain wouldn't let me comprehend what was going on fully. By the time my mind let me focus back on the courtroom, the Council of Magical Law had spoken.

"Anja Bjornson, you have been charged with the act of misusing dark magic and putting your fellow students in grave danger. Under your specific circumstances its only natural to grieve yet we cannot have you continue there as a student when you're displaying such behavior. It would not be fair to the teachers and other students at this school. Therefore, you are hereby expelled from Bloudarths Academy of The Arcane. Furthermore, because of the seriousness of your actions, we as a court had decided you be forbidden to ever use magic again. However, headmaster Dumbledore from Hogwarts school of witchcraft and wizardry, contacted us concerning your case, and we came to an agreement."

I was quickly pulled out from my daydreaming when someone opened the door to the compartment. I sat up in a rush and straightened out my shirt. With a big fake smile on my face, I turned to the door.

"We'll be there in 5 minutes" the lady who went around with her candy cart said.

"Thank you, I'll get ready then" I smiled to the lady. The lady nodded back before walking out of the compartment, shutting the door harshly. Leaving me feeling vulnerable for some reason.

"I suppose it's time" I said to myself. Taking a deep breath trough my nose and exhaling through my mouth as I got up. Due to my unique circumstances, along with a big push from Dumbledore, I was allowed to start at Hogwarts a month into the year. Not that it would be a problem, I always found comfort in my books and sense of power from learning. I was always way ahead of my peers, and I felt very comfortable with being ahead. However, exchange students weren't exactly a normal happening, especially late into the school year.

I grabbed my bag and walked out of the train, I looked around and saw no one except a guy straight ahead of me. I enjoyed the fresh air as I started moving towards him.

"You must be Anja?" he asked when I stood in front of him. It was a tall blond boy with a muscular build and a big smile. Handsome was one of the first words that came to mind.

"Yes, and you are?" I said as they started walking.

"I'm Daniel, and I'm a Gryffindor. As might be able to tell from my robe" he said, the last part more to himself.

"Well, it's nice to meet you Daniel" I said to him with a friendly smile.

"It's not often we have new students, besides the first-year students naturally. If you don't mind me asking, how come you're starting here now?" he asked, stealing several glances as we walked down a dark road.

"Oh, it's a dull story really. I have to say I know very little of Hogwarts though, anything worth knowing?" I said, attempting to changing the subject. He started to talk about the houses. How the Hufflepuffs are loyal, the Ravenclaws are smart, the Gryffindors are brave and the Slytherins are cunning.
