Steve's POV:

It was a quiet night, the stars were shining brighter than they usually would, the animals were sleeping and I was admiring the beautiful view from my roof. "It's so quiet up here." I thought to myself. Before remembering that, "Notch will most likely check in on me tomorrow. To remind me yet again to not go to the nether or the end 'Because the mobs there are dangerous unpredictable.' Or so he says " I thought aloud. "If these mobs are so unpredictable, then why would he create them in the first place then?" I wondered to myself.

A little time later I was smelting some iron ore I had gotten yesterday. I jumped as I heard a loud knock on my door. "Hello?" I greeted as I opened it to reveal my creator. "Hello Steven my boy how are you?" Notch asked. "I'm alright." I replied bluntly I never really liked Notch for some reason, a part of my mind was always screaming at me whenever he would show up randomly at my house. "The villagers are not giving you too much of a hassle are they?" He continued. "No not really, the librarian just requested that I get him some books on Herobrine. The blacksmith also requested that I gather her some more Iron ingots. But nothing else really happened." I told him. "Hey Notch, are you okay?" I asked. I turned around to see him with his head down, which caused a large shadow to completely encase his face. Apart from his mouth. "Hello, Overworld to Notch?" I tried. "NOTCH?!" I yelled still not receiving any answer. As I reached out to grasp his shoulder, his arm suddenly shot up and encased my wrist in a painful hold. I jumped a little, his sudden movement startling me. His grip on my wrist was vice-like "Notch?" I tried again, becoming more agitated and scared by the second. He still didn't answer. "Notch your scaring me. P-Please let go of my wrist." I stuttered. Then in another startling movement he grabbed my hair. I was pretty sure that it was common knowledge that I had a sensitive head. "sleep." The tone of his voice sent involuntary shivers down my spine. The room around me had begun to spin and my vision was getting blurry. The next thing I knew everything around me had faded into black as I lost consciousness.

Time skip: 3 hours

I don't know how long I've been asleep for, but I immediately felt like something was wrong. Or missing, but I couldn't really tell. I sat up and looked around the way too bright, and over decorated room that I didn't recognise. Before my brain registered the overwhelming pain my head was currently feeling. After sitting there for a few minutes waiting for the pain to dull a little bit. "Steve so glad you're awake!" A grating but deep voice said from my right.I tilted my head to the left. Confused as to who he was talking to. So gathering up whatever courage I could muster I asked, "I'm sorry but who's Steve?". The men and women dressed in metal made startled movements at my question, as did the man before me."My boy," The grating voice from before, from which I have identified head come from the man to my right. "You are Steve." The man informed me as if it was obvious but he had laced it with sadness.I decided that since I currently don't know who I should be trusting, that I should give him a chance. "Alright, if I am Steve. Then who are you sir?" I did not know the customs of this world but I knew that I could not get away with calling him 'the man' for very long. Especially if those soldiers have swords on them. The man looked at me with a painstakingly obvious fake look of sadness on his face as he proceeded to inform me of his name. Seeming to come to terms with the fact that I didn't know. "My boy, I am Notch.Your creator, as well as the rest of the Overworld and Aether." He proclaimed as if he was the wholeist being in the universe.

Notch's POV

As I walked out of Stevens new room, I couldn't help but smile. I had done it. I had erased Stevens memory I may have also de-aged him by 10 years.  He no longer has any recollection of his life before he mentioned Herobrine in front of me. I guess I made the spell a bit too strong. Considering that he was only supposed to forget who Herobrine was. But I now get to start on a new slate with Steven. Make sure that he doesn't find out who Herobrine is before he absolutely has to. I stationed more guards than necessary, just to ensure that he didn't leave his room. Because low and behold, Herobrine had called a meeting. Early. I'm honestly quite surprised that he had called the meeting, he never does unless it's something really important. So I'm just going off on a whim when I say, I think he know I erased a 'little' too much of Stevens memory.

I sat down on my very extravagant throne in my castle. When I felt a strong and overbearing aura enter my wards. He was here. And Oh Boy was he pissed. "HOW DARE YOU!" He screamed at me. "HOW FUCKING RETARDED CAN YOU BE?!" He continued . "Calm down brother." I tried to calm him. All attempts to were futile. "CALM DOWN?! CALM DOWN?! YOU ERASED HIS FUCKING MEMORY AND YOU EXPECT ME TO CALM DOWN?!"

" I did what was needed to ensure the safety of the greater good! Steven cannot and will not, find out you exist. not now, not ever!" I raged. He looked rather hurt and taken aback by my words. "FINE BUT ON HIS TWENTIETH BIRTHDAY I WILL COME AND CLAIM WHAT IS RIGHTFULLY MINE!" Herobrine screamed. I could tell that he was deeply hurt by my actions not only towards him, but towards Steven as well. Because we both know that this is not the first time that this has happened.
