Chapter 10: What to do?

But something felt off.

Something was wrong.

However, my suspension was answered as the door opened and there sat a big doe-eyed, grinning girl staring at MY mates.

"Everyone, meet Karen!"

"What the hell!".....

Liam's POV

I stared, stunned, at the female that was practically eye-raping my mates. With me standing there might I add.

I scoff to myself, " the audacity ". 😒

I snap out of my daze when I hear Jupiter clear his throat. " Father?", Jupiter questions the smirking man. "What is this? Why is she here?"

"Well, my lovely sons, as you know, I am not in my best of health these days, " I heard several of my mates scoff as I just waited to hear why that thing was here. "And, I would like there to be potential heirs to my company. " He said with a sly smile on his face.

"But.. " Jupiter tries to say, but is cut off by is father raising his hand to stop him.

"I'm not finished. And as it seems, you boys and Miss Karen have had a distant past with each other, so I thought it would be a good idea if you guys meet up again! " Said the man.

Well you thought wrong,.... WAIT, PAST!!

I started to panic, and I think my lovely mates could sense it because they all side eyed me in worry.

"You know what father, why don't we take this little chat outside, hmm." Jupiter said, as he looked at me and then the others, who all started to rise from their seats.

As they exited the room, I could feel the tense atmosphere rise, as the female's auora completely changed.

She scoffed to gain my attention. "And, who the hell are you? " She seethed, as she scanned me.

My mouth goes agap. What the actual fuck....

I sat there staring at her trying to tell if she was serious. However, her high-pitched screech of a voice broke through...

"Well? I asked you a damn question, whore."

I was stunned, "Who the hell do you think you are?" I spat at her.

She scoffed. Looking dead into my eyes, she said, "I am their one and ONLY mate. I am being promised to marry them and give them an heir. So, they don't need your filthy services anymore, fag."

Oh hell no

"Alright, listen here bitch, I am their actual mate. And don't fucking call me that. "

"Even if you are, you know their just going to leave you once they have had enough of being with some worthless little whore. You know, just like your mother did. " She said, smirking.

I paused, 'how did she know... '

The door suddenly opened to show my mates tensely walking in and their father trailing behind them looking very pissed off.

" Liam, let's go. We are leaving. "

"Oh, where are we going? " Karen perched, conjuring the best fake smile she could and tried to cling to Helios, who happened to be the closest to her. However, Helios yanked his arm away from her and said, "Don't you have some kind of sewer to climb back into. "

Karen got pissed off, stomped her foot, and stormed out.

We soon followed out the door with Zeus's hand on my back guiding me out the door. As we walked out, I could she him side eyeing me, which made me shrink into myself even more.

Usually contact with my mates helps to calm me down, even though I am human. So I reach out to hold Hermes' hand, who was standing right next to me, only for him to pull his hand out of my reach and continue to walk forward.

'Why...'

As a matter of fact, all of my mates seem to be avoiding contact, or even a glance at me. Even Zeus who's hand immediately removed itself from my back as soon as we left the room.

I recoiled, not knowing what to do, as it seems that what ever happened is making my mates not want any contact with me. Or maybe they really are going back to Karen, and think that I am a worthless whore they just keep around because they feel sorry for me.

I try to hold back my tears as we walked through the halls and out to the car, where we started on our journey back home.

Something felt very off. Very tense. They all look uncomfortable and refuse to make eye contact with me.

'What if... '

Poseidon's POV

'I wish I could still tell what he was thinking, but ever since a few days ago, he had blocked us out. None of us know how or why, but we can't get through anymore. It makes me worry because I can't tell if he needs something. If he's sad, hungry, or just needs a hug.

We want to know what's wrong, darling.'

I looked at him and sighed.

About thirty minutes ago (Apollo's POV)

"Let's take this discussion outside..." Jupiter said. We all walked out, making sure our baby was okay first.

Once we got out there, our father said, " You will marry her, and you will give me a rightful heir. I don't care if she's not your mate. End of discussion. "

Neptune then stepped up and said, "We already found our perfect mate, who we would NEVER replace for some gold-digging whore, just because you say so... "

As Neptune was arguing with our father, I started to feel very hot and uncomfortable. I gasped, realizing what's happening, and looked up to see my other mates in the same position.

OH NO...

BACK TO PRESENT TIME (Liam's POV)

We finally arrived home, and I didn't wait, as I raced out of the car, avoiding any interaction with anyone. However, I didn't miss several calls of my name coming from my mates but I ignore them as I ran up to my room.

However, apparently I wasn't fast enough because a hand stops me from closing my door. It was Hades.

He pulls my door open, because I wasn't strong enough to prevent him from doing so. He looks at me with a worried look on his face and softly asks, "Liam, what's wrong, baby? "

'Baby... Maybe their not?'

I release a breath I didn't know I was holding. "It's just... ", I say as I go to wrap my arms around Hades.

Only for him to step back...
