Summer's POV:
*BEEP BEEP BEEP* I slam my hand into the top of the alarm clock stopping the terrible noise.
Rolling out of bed, I grab my phone and head to the bathroom. As I stare in the mirror, I realize how rough I look.
It's my first day at my new school, Harrison Prep, ugh. I have to look sort of presentable, so I reach over and grab my makeup bag. I quickly put on a layer of makeup and pull my hair from it's braid. My long locks fall in perfect curls that cascade over my shoulders.
Reaching behind me, I grab my new uniform. It's hideous. It consists of a green and blue skirt, a white button up top, sheer black tights, and little black flats.
I slide on the tights first. Not bad. Next I grab the skirt and pull it over my hips. I can work with it. Folding the waistband over, I make the skirt just long enough to barely cover me. The shirt is my next issue. I look like a little schoolboy in it. I unbutton the buttons until I reach the underwire of my bra, and fold the collar out to make it more like my usual fashion. Lastly, I stare at the shoes. HELL NO. I refuse to wear them and walk to my closet.
Reaching to the back of my closet, I grab my favorite black stilettos. I love the contrast of the white bottom against the rest of my outfit.
I peek at my phone and realize I'm running late. I'm so very hungry, but I guess I'll have to starve until later. I dash downstairs and out my front door to my black Mercedes parked in the driveway.
When I finally arrive at the school and manage to park my car, I see a ton of students still walking in the front door. Phew. I speed walk to the grand doors and enter the breathtaking hallway. As much as I'd love to take in the beauty of the school, I have to find my locker and classroom with only five minutes until the bell rings.
Walking down the hall, I spot my locker... behind a group of five tall, dark, and handsome guys. "Can you move?"
The tallest one looks over at me, not even turning his head, and then continues the conversation he was in. Angered, I spit out, "Move it dickheads!"
"Who the hell do you think you are?" he shouts back at me. His voice is extremely sexy, and I can't help but stare at his perfect jawline and emerald green eyes. "It's impolite to stare y'know."
"I just need to get to my locker," I say embarrassed.
"Well your locker happens to be next to mine and I'm fine where I'm standing, so that isn't happening Barbie."
Barbie. Did he just call me Barbie? I notice my first class is directly next to his locker as well, but on the opposite side. "Alright then Ken, see you after class," I push through the group and strut into the room and walk towards the first empty desk I see.
"Good morning," the innocent looking girl next to me squeaks as I take my seat.
"morning," I reply.
"You're Barbie, right?"
"Ugh, that's not my name, I'm Summer."
"Nice name, I'm Ava. Don't expect anyone to call you a Summer though."
"Why?"
"Because he named you Barbie, that's the only name anyone can call you in these halls now."
What the actual fuck. "Why does he decide what my name is all of the sudden?"
"You don't know him, do you?"
"No."
"Well you've made the worst enemy possible. His name is Malice, or M for short."
"What's so special about him?"
"He's the leader of the mafia."
"A mafia... in the middle of nowhere Washington. Yeah right," I say, knowing all too well about his little group.
"I'm not joking, watch your back girlie."
"Thanks, but I can handle myself."
I pull out my phone and scroll until I find his name and start to type my message.
Me- Found the target
Zeus- Then get the deal done. Remember, big target means a big price.
Me- Got it. Is this one dead or alive?
Zeus- Live delivery is preferred, but on ice is also accepted if necessary.
Me- Alright, I'll keep in touch.
