"I cannot waste my time on anyone, whoever they may be."

That was the last thing Cassandra heard from her husband while being sent away from his office. He did not even look up from the piles of paperwork he was busy with while he spoke with her and merely hushed her out without a goodbye.

Cassandra walked back home with disappointment. It was their third anniversary as a married couple, and instead of spending the day with her, Azriel drowned himself with the piles of work he had to finish. All of his deadlines prevented her husband from coming home and resting even just for one night, so she took it upon herself to check up on her workaholic husband.

But although she was just trying to look out for him, she was still pushed away by the very man she knew would never care for her the same way as she does.

Azriel and Cassandra's marriage was born from an arrangement made by their families to strengthen their companies and tie their families together. While Yoongi had more work to carry on his shoulders with another company being mixed in, Jennie was left alone to become the perfect and caring wife that she was told to be.

Being the obedient daughter she is, Cassandra agreed with all of her parent's wishes, even agreeing to a loveless marriage just to receive their appraisal. Having Azriel Carmichael as a husband was not such a bad thing after all when months passed after they became husband and wife as the man was usually not around the home they both share since he was always busy at work. Still, it also meant that Cassandra worries every day for his health and tries her best to help him. But it would seem that Azriel just doesn't want her company.

For the past five years of their one-sided loveless marriage, Cassandra was always ignored no matter how many times or how hard she worked to be accepted by Azriel.

Now, here she was, walking under the pouring rain, thinking about all of her life choices and questioning why the universe had let her life come to ruins like this. There was nothing left in the world for her to do since her parents never let her do anything other than becoming the perfect daughter and, now, the perfect wife.

I wish I could do it all over again.

Her voice whispers in her head, echoing in the hollow mind as she keeps her eyes straight and does not give a damn about everything around her. All she could hear was the sound of pouring rain, her clothes turning soggy and wet, eyes unblinking from the blurry sight in front of her, and the other muffled sounds around her.

Little did Cassandra know that her wish was about to come true when a bright light blocked her way and a loud muffled horn blazing in the background was the last thing she heard. The next thing she knew, she was standing in front of a large mirror with flowers in her hand, a beautiful white dress on her body.

Turning her head, she could hear her mother calling for her.

"Cass, come on, they are all waiting for the bride."
