When I Talk to Someone Like You

(Minor pov swap back to Gabe First Person)

I opened the door to my classroom but remembered that I was opening the 8th-grade door today. I spun around and went instead to the glass doors that lead to the outdoor amphitheater where all the freezing little 8th graders were. I let them inside in time for the first bell.

*Gabe opens the door and cold air is let into the building*

(For reference Paul left his classroom to pass by Gabe because that's Paul for you)

I was greeting kids as they came inside. Luckily I was wearing my Jenkins track hoodie so I was safe from the blistering cold. Paul came down the 8th-grade stairs, but having no jacket, was hit by the cold wind. The wind was practically freezing him to the bone. He walked over and stood next to me holding the other door. At this point, we were both a bit pink. Paul was probably pink because of the cold, but not me. I was pink because of the previous events. Paul shivered and I, having sympathy, gave him my hoodie.

(Minor POV Swap 3rd Person)

"Thanks," Paul said, still shivering. "Of course" Gabe tried to sound professional but couldn't and was red as can be. Megan was watching from the other end of the hall. Making Gabe even more Nervous. They stood there for a couple more minutes, greeting kids until the first bell rang before Paul walked back up the stairs and back to his classroom. Accidentally took the hoodie with him.

A couple of kids saw this unfold, but only a few questioned it. After the second bell rang Gabe shut the door and headed to his nearby classroom. Megan was still snickering at the end of the hall. Gabe gave her "the look" before entering his room.
