A Sparky Start

(POV still Paul)

I walked into the 6th grade hallway and unlocked the door to my room.

After setting down my things, I began to set it up for the day, I could feel butterflies in my stomach. My mind was racing but one thing stood in place. Gabe. Gabe Wagner the science teacher. I wanted him. I was turning red just thinking about his broad shoulders.

*Darren walks into the room*
(pov swap 3rd person)

"Hey, I wanted to talk about some students' schedule changes." Daren stated, strutting into the room on his high horse. "Oh yes of course" Paul blutered with shock. "Yeah, so Abby Evens is moving classes and will be in your 1st. She's pretty smart." Darren said with glee "Oh sweet. It'll be cool having her!" Paul tried to sound enthusiastic but kept getting distracted. "Sounds great! I'll see you at the meeting later!" Darren said walking out of the room, joining the 6th grade teachers in gossip, chatting up a storm.

Narrator:
Paul sat there thinking, Thinking, then jumped when the first bell rang. He sat there a moment longer before getting up to attend to his duties as the first few students flooded into the classroom.

(POV SWAP Gabe Wagner)

I parked my car and made my way through the doors, scanning my ID. I saw Darren passing by in the entrance hallway walking towards the 6th grade wing. Today was going to be ok. Or was it, I wasn't sure. Feelings were overwhelming me as I tried to push them down. These fantasies in my head brooded. Horrid images, But something I craved.

I cleared my mind as I set up my classroom. Setting up the board, and putting down chairs. Then I walked over to Megan's room to talk about the AP lessons for the day

*gabe opened the door and greeted Megan before speaking*

(Small pov swap to 3rd person)

"So what does AP have for us this week?" Megan asked.

Gabe spoke after a few moments abruptly, something was clouding his mind. "Oh nothing much, some Studying here, some tests there." He replied distractedly.

"What's up with you you seem distracted" Megan spoke in a soothing tone. Gabe being friends with her for years could trust her. "Paul was staring at me yesterday and I don't know how to feel about it. My mind is just confused by this love-stuck feeling. I don't know what I should do."

Gabe paced around the room as he ranted, while Megan watched.

"We made eye contact but I feel like there was something more than just a friendly glance. I honestly don't know how to feel. I've never felt anything like this before Megan. Kelci was an entirely different story and now I feel like I'm committed to something that's dragging me into the unknown and I'm just really... lost." he said, a grim expression.on his face.

Gabe's breathing steadied as he calmed down from his long monolog, his face blushing. Megan smiled, amused.

"Well, it's your decision, but I think you should tell him. You are coworkers after all." She replied.

He acknowledged her with a sideways nod, his arms resting against the science lab. "And whatever decision you two make, know that I'm on board" she said, winking.

(Writers note: Mrs.Anderson (Megan) is the best teacher i've ever had so i had to include her lol)

After getting back on track, and talking about the lesson plan for the following week, Gabe headed back to his classroom, deep in thought.
