026 ; Temari's

You freeze in your spot, sensing something new, and Yushiro seemed to notice too as he gasps.

"Get down!"

3RD POV

Tanjiro grabs both you and Nezuko and hides them under his body as multiple temari balls come violently crashing through the walls. You narrow your eyes at the now open wall and unsheathe your katana, through the dust you can see the figures of two demons, one female and one male.

"You were right, Yahaba! A building just appeared out of nowhere!" The female demon calls 'It seems they were sent after us..' you think and glare at the two figures "Seems like they learned to use the Blood Demon Art of hiding objects well" the male demon replies, as you squint your eyes slightly further, you can make out an ugly-looking eye on his hand.

"And could the demon slayer's be with the demon? What does this mean?" He questions, the female demon laughs "Isn't this fun?" she giggles as she bounces her temari balls slightly.

"I must say Susamaru.. your way of doing things tends to be immature. So careless. It's messy! My kimono is covered with dust! Tch!" he complains making you dead-pan 'They're seriously squabbling right now? Idiots' you think and sigh quietly.

Tanjiro grips both you and Nezuko tighter "Oh, stop whining! We found them right away thanks to my temari, so who cares?" the female demon, known as Susamaru brags. "And now, it's time to play!" she yells as she throws another two temaris at the house, catching them right after like they were boomerangs.

"There goes the dust again!" The male demon, known as Yahaba complains "You're so uptight. Your kimono isn't the least bit soiled. And besides.." she laughs as the dust starts to clear, now showing the inside of the house "Found 'em! Found 'em!".

'A temari..' Tanjiro thinks as his grip stays firm on you and Nezuko, 'Just by throwing them, she can destroy the house like this?' he wonders. Yushiro grits his teeth angrily as he holds Tamayo protectively 'That woman.. is she one of Kibutsuji's minions?' he thinks.

Susamaru laughs again as she throws two more temaris at the house, making them bounce on the inside. Tanjiro grunts as he pushes you and Nezuko more underneath him, using his body as a shield "Tanjiro, protect Nezuko for the meantime, I'll go out" you say.

He looks at you worriedly "Don't worry, of things get too bad I'll use my quirk.." you say and he nods slightly, loosening his grip on you. You move out from under him and put your sword in front of you, ready to protect them.

You look to your right and see a ball headed for Yushiro and Tamayo "Tamayo-sama!" Yushiro yells as he stands protectively inform of Tamayo, and before you can react, the temari curves and hits him straight on the head, making his head explode.

You gasp slightly "Yushiro-san!" Tanjiro screams as Tamayo catches Yushiro and looks at him sadly. You grunt slightly and glare out at the demons, both Tanjiro and Nezuko stand up "Dammit, Nezuko. Take the lady sleeping in the back somewhere safe outside!" Tanjiro yells to her over the noise.

Nezuko grunts, "It's too dangerous outside! We have a basement, so take her there!" Tamayo yells out "Understood! Nezuko!" Tanjiro calls and Nezuko nods, running off to take the lady to the basement.

Now, both you and Tanjiro stand with your katanas in front of you. With you closer to Yushiro and Tamayo, and Tanjiro more over to the left. Susamaru cackles "That's one down!" she cheers happily.

'She's giving off a totally different scent than any other demons! Is she stronger? It's an intense smell! It's so heavy inside my lungs!' Tanjiro thinks.

Susamaru bounces the temaris in her hands as he makes a noise of thought "The demon slayer with hanafuda earrings.. And the demon slayer with half red, half white hair! It's you both, isn't it?" she asks, as if expecting us to answer.

Tanjiro gasps as you glare at her 'So, she's after us?' Tanjiro thinks "Tamayo-san!" he calls and Tamayo looks up at him "Please find a place to hide! We're the ones they're after!" he says. "Tanjiro-san, I want you to fight without worrying about us. We'll be fine without your protection. We're demons after all" she says reassuringly.

"Well then.. It's all over for you now!" Susamaru yells as she pegs a ball straight at Tanjiro 'That temari will only swerve if I dodge it..' he thinks as he closes his eyes, he opens them again with a noise off what you could guess would be determination 'Of the ten forms.. the fastest thrusting technique.. Total Concentration.. Water Breathing! Seventh Form, Drop Ripple Thrust-Curve!' Tanjiro yells in his mind as he lunges his katana forward, it skewering the temari ball.

'Oh, so you struck at the curve diagonally to soften the temari's blow' Susamaru thinks 'But..' she grins. Tanjiro gasps as the temari on his blade starts shaking, coming back and hitting him in the head, he grunts and you look over at him 'The ball.. it moved even while on his blade.. They must be being controlled by something.' You think.

'How does the temari move around like that?' Tanjiro questions in his mind 'It swerved unnaturally when it hit Yushiro-san as well! It's not spinning in any special way, and yet.. So, how?'.

You look over your shoulder to Tamayo and Yushiro, with Tamayo calling out to Yushiro's motionless body "Yushiro! Yushiro!" she calls again. Making the cells on Yushiro's neck start to move and develop, you watch for a second how Yushiro's new head is starting to form before grimacing slightly and looking away. 'That's disgusting..'.

"La.." Now Tanjiro looks back, also gasping in disgust "Tamayo-sama! Didn't I tell you? That we shouldn't get involved with that demon slayer! From the start!" Yushiro yells making you sweat-drop.

"Didn't I tell you my concealment spell isn't perfect? I know you're well aware of that yourself! I may be able to conceal the presences of buildings and people, their scent, but I cannot mask their very existence!" Yushiro yells making Tamayo look down in shame, "The greater our numbers, the more chances we'll leave, and the greater the odds that Kibutsuji will find us!".
