Miwa was six years old when her mother died her father was barely around before her mother's death and her elder brother who was fifteen followed their father for business.

Before her mother died she was also too busy, they both lived in China thou her mother was from Korea but her grandmother which she had never met was from China so when things became hard for them she moved in to her mother's family house in China.

Alot of relatives there didn't like her mostly because she married an outsider and worst of all he couldn't provide for her

Almost every Christmas her husband and their son would come home and that was the only time Miwa had a happy time.

They would stay for about a week before going back as for her father she didn't know what kind of work he does and her older brother never told her saying she wouldn't understand untill she was older while her mother used to work as a nurse, house cleaner and many more she couldn't count but she mostly saw her attend to sick people on the verge of dying and some still died.

While her parents and older brother  were busy with everything she was left at home and no she didn't attend school like other children her age instead whenever her mother was free she would tutor her in Chinese, Korean and English and her older brother if ever he visited would tutor her on other subjects on how to speak and write,

She always felt alone but as little as she was she sort of understood her family were to work hard to get money so she kept everything to herself not wanting to drag them down she worked harder in whatever they have her to do

it was surprising for a girl below six to learn these things but for some reasons Miwa was different from children her age this she would come to understand when she became older

On a certain day as usual she had done her homework given to her by her mother, cleaned the house as much as she can then climbed up a certain tree which was her relaxing place and waited for her mother.

Since the other relatives didn't like them her mother had told her to stay away from them and of course they stayed away as well.

Whenever they saw Miwa they would hiss or say bad things and avoided her but these things didn't mean anything to her she was a carefree child who for some unknown reasons was quite contended with what she had and never did she prey and acted stubborn towards any instructions given to her.

As Miwa awaited her mother's arrival she saw as some of the elders walked out while whispering to themselves normally she wouldn't care to ask or follow but she heard them mentioned her mother's name so she followed as well only to discover that at the entrance to the compound a woman as pale as a corpse laid still on a wooden bed brought in by four men.

She didn't even know what to do as she walked up she stared in shock as she saw her dead mother. Without her beauty she looked as thou she had been dead for a week or more soon after she was carried in to the compound, and just like that the burial date was fixed her father and brother were informed and they made plans to come.

Two weeks later they arrived, finally the burial day came Miwa stood their with a swollen eye as they finally laid her to rest she had looked at her father and brother but she saw no tears

*did they really love mama, why are they just standing there why ain't they crying*

all these thoughts passed through her mind but she had no way to let it after that day her father and brother stayed for awhile to discuss with the family but it was not strange that they refused to listen while they argued indoors

Miwa's brother Daniel stayed beside her to calm her down from crying. She didn't understand what was going on her mother looked healthy and strong some weeks ago so what happened .
