Chapter One ~ The Day Will Come When You Won't Be

Due to Maggie having complications with her pregnancy, the group decided to seek help at the Hilltop. Througout the ride there, Maggie laid In the back of the R.V. In bad condition. More than a few people went back to check on her. It was mainly Lilly, Glenn's sister and Maggie's best friend, who stayed by her side the whole time.

Although Lilly was In bad shape as well, she still stayed strong for her friend. However, after encountering the Saviors' roadblocks and with night falling quickly, Rick thought that It would be best to travel on foot for the rest of the way. Eugene volunteered to distract the Saviors by driving the empty R.V., but he was shortly captured afterwards. Little did the group know, the Saviors also captured Glenn, Nate, Daryl, Michonne, and Rosita earlier that same day. As they walked through the woods, the Saviors began whistling, prompting the group to speed up In hopes of avoiding them.

Lilly held one end of the bed that they were carrying Maggie on. Hearing the whistling, she tried to speed up In walking, but as the group tried running as fast as they could, a bunch of lights from trucks shined on them, making them realize that they were completely surrounded.

By the time they were caught, the whistling was louder than before. Maggie knew this couldn't be good. Especially after catching a glimpse of Rick's defeated look. She was now scared. There didn't seem a way out of this. The Saviors had beat them and they would pay whatever price they required. Their guns and all their weapons were stripped from them. Rick pleaded to talk about It, but Simon quickly declined.

"𝘕𝘰𝘸...." Negan's right-hand began. "𝘓𝘦𝘵'𝘴 𝘨𝘦𝘵 𝘺𝘰𝘶 𝘢𝘭𝘭 𝘰𝘯 𝘺𝘰𝘶𝘳 𝘬𝘯𝘦𝘦𝘴." Two Saviors were about to get Maggie off her bed and on her knees, but were quickly turned away by the group.

"𝘓𝘪𝘭𝘭𝘺...." Maggie said weakly, she reached an arm out to her friend, wanting her help Instead as they put her bed down. Lilly looked towards her friend and quickly helped her onto her knees, kneeling down next to her.

"𝘔𝘢𝘨𝘨𝘪𝘦...." Lilly spoke, while a young blonde woman looked on at the two, holding a rifle In her hands with her finger near the trigger, not thinking that they'd try anything, considering that both girls looked weak and tired.

Maggie held onto Lilly's hand and squeezed It reassuringly. "𝘞𝘦'𝘭𝘭 𝘣𝘦 𝘰𝘬𝘢𝘺." She managed to whisper In her tired voice. But even Maggie wasn't sure of that. People were clearly going to die. The Saviors wouldn't have brought so many If they weren't.

"𝘖𝘱𝘦𝘯 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘥𝘰𝘰𝘳. 𝘋𝘸𝘪𝘨𝘩𝘵! 𝘊𝘩𝘰𝘱, 𝘤𝘩𝘰𝘱." Simon said as Dwight appeared from the crowd to force the hostages out, among them being Glenn and Nate.

Each survivor was forced out of the van. Glenn was personally pulled out by Dwight and struggled with him a little until he saw his wife and sister. His face grew to extreme worry for them.

"𝘔𝘢𝘨𝘨𝘪𝘦? 𝘓𝘪𝘭𝘭𝘺....?"

He attempted to go towards them, but was Immediately stopped just as Nate tried to go to his own wife, calling out Lilly's name as tears filled her eyes.

Maggie was now even more scared than before. Not only for herself and unborn child, but her family too. Lilly, Glenn, and Nate were all here. Having lost her father and sister, she couldn't deal with another major loss. She prayed silently In her head that they would survive. All of them. Her hand still remained In her friend's as It began trembling.

"𝘞𝘦'𝘭𝘭 𝘣𝘦 𝘰𝘬𝘢𝘺. 𝘞𝘦'𝘭𝘭 𝘣𝘦 𝘰𝘬𝘢𝘺."

That's what she kept quietly repeating to herself. The fear of losing her loved ones seemed to numb the pain she felt.
