When Y/N and Sunday returned from the forest, Dojo was throwing a fit. He was scratching himself all over his body and when he had a little time in-between rashes, he showed the Xiaolin monks the Shen Gong Wu scroll.
''A new Shen Gong Wu just appeared!'' He panted, ''It's the Lasso Boa Boa, pretty much a snake lasso. C'mon, let's hurry!''
With a rapidly beating heart, Y/N jumped onto Dojo and as they flied over the small-looking landscape, she wondered how Jack would be acting. Would he be friendly with her? She hoped not. The two of them had to keep up the illusion that they were still enemies, otherwise, the rest of the monks would suspect something. Perhaps, if Y/N stayed cool and distant, Jack's suspicious behaviour wouldn't have much effect on what the monks thought of Y/N's stance in the matter. Jack was always acting strange, a little awkward flirting wasn't unlike him. Y/N smiled. Heh, awkward flirting. Wouldn't that be cute? After a while, the monks landed in a forest area and they got off to look for the Lasso Boa Boa. Jack also appeared, almost out of thin air, and unleashed his army of Jackbots upon the unimpressed monks. Y/N glanced around and saw, sitting in one of the trees, a bird that didn't look like any other. It didn't move in response to the ruckus and its eye glowed red. That must've been Jack's new spybot. Y/N ran up the tree and kicked the spybot off of it's branch. Then, she landed on it, crushing the metal.
''No!'' Jack screamed, ''My Ravenbot! Why did you do that?!''
Y/N glanced over at him and winked. ''There's no penalty for playing dirty.''
His pale face went obviously crimson and he kept looking for the Lasso Boa Boa.
After an uneventful Xiaolin showdown in which Jack lost within five minutes to Sunday, the monks went back to the temple to celebrate. Especially Sunday wanted to celebrate her healed pride and smiled like a little girl in a candy store during training and dinner. While the monks were eating, Clay gave Y/N a rough, although not unfriendly, pat on the shoulder. ''You did well today, Y/N,'' He said, ''Why, I don't think I'd ever notice that strange robot Spicer had sittin' in that tree.''
Sunday giggled. ''Y/N's always been good at seeing things others don't notice. I don't know how she does it.''
Y/N felt her face sear and she turned down to her miso soup. If the monks knew she only noticed the robot because she'd been expecting it... because she was hanging out with Jack, they probably wouldn't have been so impressed.
After her nightly t'ai chi training, Y/N walked through the temple to go to her room. When she was walking, however, she noticed Sunday and Kimiko's voices coming from a sideroom that was rarely used. Y/N stood by the door opening and listened to the two talking.
''I wanted to keep this a secret from everyone,'' Sunday said, ''But you're the only one who can help me. Will you promise not to tell anyone else what I'm about to show you?''
''...Alright.'' There was clear hesitation in Kimiko's voice. Some rustling could be heard, then Kimiko asked: ''Is that the necklace Jack gave to Y/N?''
''Yes. She... wants to keep wearing it, but I'm afraid that it'll have some sort of fancy spy gear inside it. Since you're good with that kinda stuff, I wanted to ask you to inspect it, see if it's sending Jack any relevant information.''
''You know the easiest way to find out if it has a tracking device?'' Kimiko asked, ''Just break it.''
''No! I promised Y/N I wouldn't break it.''
''Why does she like it so much, anyway? I'd incinerate anything that creep gave to me... and wash my hands after.''
''I... I don't know.'' Sunday would just lie for her like that. Y/N really didn't deserve her as a sister. ''Could you just check if it's got some sneaky features?''
