Chapter 5 surprises ......and surprises

Sarthik in his office already secured himself on the sluggish cushions of a chair working wisely with his eyes stuck on the computer screen. His concentration got disrupted by the ring of his personal phone.

On phone-

"Yeah mom"

"Sarthik... you remember that girl Mahira?" Mita says and paused for his answer.

'how can I forget her' sarthik muddled making his mom humming in confusion.
"Ah... nothing I was just saying... Yeah, so what?"

"At maithili's wedding her mother invited us for a dinner,"

"So?"

"She called me again inviting us tonight, we are going there in the evening and so I want you home by afternoon. Ok! and your father already knows" sarthik hummed to mita.
Flashback ends

Mahira chatting on the phone without realizing the eyes on her gleams. When she swiveled towards the hallway her expressions changed surprise to see the guests without her knowledge, she was shocked but delighted at the same time. She began stepping towards the sofa where all are.

"Ohhh! How are you!" With awkward Smile Mahira aired. She greeted all of them. With a smile then she noticed the ice cream in her hand.
"That's good that I bought ice cream"

"But you said you didn't know we are coming however you bought family pack's" Mita questioned.

"No no we can finish it also and if I would know that you guys are also coming, I had bought two packs" her family smiled giggled to agree with her.

"You indeed like icecream a lot," Mita said and Mahira smiled

Sarthik's pov-

I'm seating on the sofa with her's and my family in her home. We are talking about here and there when the opening sound of the door and the rhythmic ringtone assorted and revealed the girl, the one I am trying to remove from my heart.

Her glimmery face, the shine on the point of her nose where her spectacles resting to give her reasonable vision. I saw her long hair at the wedding presently it is turned in rotated messy bun her modest long top and bottom with a blazer makes her look so decent that she is unaware of her beauty even in dark clouds of anxiety she looks pretty but what made a butterflies yeah butterflies it's my first time saying something like that, that I got butterflies on me when she opened her hairs then discarded her specs. The way she is talking with her friend gives the personality assessment that how much vibrant she is, however at some points she is the opposite of me. When she caught a glimpse of us she became so shocked but in seconds the sweet side of her coated under itself. She gave us sweet smile which I thought won't be for me because our last meet is terrible but still, the gleam is for me too.

I don't know why but I can't resist thinking about her, about the every move she makes and everything

She left from there to have a shower.

The dining room is so full now with the presence of seven. They all talking about here and there.

"Sanghvi industries! Ohh so Shirish uncle, you are the chairman" Shirish nodded with a chuckle to see her grinning "and sarthik is a CEO. Right!" Shirish again nodded at her.

"But there is one thing missing in our company."

"What?"

"Our CFO is going to retire soon would you like to join," Shirish said and the sound of a falling spoon echoed in the whole room from Mahira's side everyone is looking at her and then the spoon but she is just frozen.

"What did you say?...... Really ...... oh my god it's a big opportunity. ..................... When I should come for an interview?"

"You can come tomorrow," Shirish said with a smile. Where the happiness of Mahira is at another level.

After three weeks

"Yeah Heena we will go on date but not now...... yeah I know you are not saying to come now, but this month we have too much work, I dont think i have time as im going banglore for three days......yeah i will buy that......" sarthik was speaking to Heena on the phone when Mahira enters with a knock making sarthik hung up.

'Be happy with what you have is one of the most chronological idioms to say, most peoples correlate it to their life, some not. Life came back to normal everyone is busy with their work whereas sarthik tries to make time for Heena and Mahira makes for Raghav. Heena doesn't know about Mahira working in sanjots and sarthik also didn't know about the thoughts of Heena for Mahira. So, he felt it unnecessary to tell Heena about Mahira.

Mahira showed some files to sarthik and they got a conversation about those chronicles for a span. Mahira's face turned gleaming when she heard Singhvi industries is going to collaborate with sanjot industries, But sarthik got confused to see her suddenly grinning.

"So, we are going on a business trip with Singhvi industries"

"Yeah, so what?"

"Who is the CEO of Jindal industries?" Mahira asked excietedly, waiting to have his answer.

"I never saw him but I know his name it's Raghav Jindal" Mahira smilies at him to get her words.
Finally, he understood her intension. "We are going there for business" sarthik stated with sighing in annoyance at her happiness that they are not going for vacation.

"I know" she stood up to leave and carried her phone then dialed the number.
"Raghav... guess what?" She said on phone to Raghav with a smile while leaving from sarthik's cabin.
By seeing her so happy, sarthik smiled at himself.

Sarthik, Mahira, and some more executives arrived at the resort of Bangalore. After getting freshened up and ready all sat in the restaurant.

"Sir, don't you think it feels like a vacation"

"Yeah, sir really it feels like we are on vacation," Misha said by agreeing with Sujit. Other executives also smiled with Mahira but for sarthik is totally different he was just sitting and minding his own business where some girls stared at him. And Mahira was waiting for Raghav to arrive.

Raghav with his executives arrived with the dashing entry, gaining attention from everyone.
But the face of sarthik became irksome to see him, the flashback of the scene of that club, where one scoundrel with one whore is nonother than Raghav.

Raghav is that drunken rascal who also misbehaved with Priyanka and sarthik punched him. But the main point that hits him is that Mahira loves him so much and it is obvious that Mahira doesn't know it.

'i won't let her marry the reprobate like you' sarthik gritted his teeth by making a promise to himself.

So, the seed of consequences started sprouting in their life where sarthik promised himself to protect Mahira from Raghav.

Will this thing also affect his personal life with Heena?
Despite this sarthik didnt know that heena hates mahira.
