today is a hard day. ryan is missing nick's annoying presence that much more, even though he hasn't been gone long.
the longer he ponders on missing his brother, the more he wants to call him.
he doesn't get the chance, though. instead, he gets a call from a number he doesn't recognize.
"from florida..." he questions but picks up the phone next to him on his bed and answers anyway.
"hello?"
"hello, is this ryan armstrong?" the voice asks.
"uh, yes it is."
"perfect. i'm taylor allis from wilhelmina, we've been emailing?"
"oh! oh, yeah, hi."
the person– who sounds like they have a feminine voice but ryan's not assuming anything here– chuckles, "yes, so. i just wanted to talk to you about living situations, because i know you said you're from texas?"
"i am, but i was planning on moving after everything was...finalized i guess?" ryan shifts so he's on his stomach.
"okay, great. well i've been assigned as your manager slash assistant of sorts. but i'm here to help you with everything. which includes finding a place, if you'd like the help." taylor says. she seems really cool and not at all what he would expect from a manager.
"that would be extremely helpful, actually."
"yay! i love house hunting. okay- actually, are you cool if we facetime? it would be easier to show you stuff and all that."
ryan scoffs in surprise, taken back by her upfront nature. not in a bad way, she's seems like a chill person.
"yeah, of course," ryan tells her and pulls the phone away from his ear.
her face appears on the screen, a bleach blonde, almost white haired girl. she has quite a lot of makeup on, but in a bad bitch way and a piercing on either side of her nose.
"alright, here's what i'm thinking..."

so ryan kinda lied. he really isn't moving in until sometime next month but his new management wants him to fly out early and take standard photos for them to put on their website and social media as a way of promotion. it also gives him the chance to look at the apartments and pick the one he wants.
he wants to plan a surprise for his brother, though, which can only be done by the help of someone actually in florida.
