Monday. Pajama day. Pretty lame. It was pretty safe to say, I was not planning on wearing pajamas to school. Not my kind of thing.
It was Sunday night, and I was pretty much just laying on my bed, thinking about how I should be sleeping right now. My phone pinged, the Snapchat sound, and I reached over, raising my eyebrows at the words displayed on my screen.
Cassia has added you. Add them back!
I pressed the 'add' button next to her name quickly. Not because I was excited. More because I hated having unanswered adds. Or maybe I was excited.
'hey,' the text came quick, in chat. 'u better be wearing pjs tomorrow.'
'Wasn't planning on it,' I answered, watching her bitmoji pop up over my keyboard.
'ri and stace will have ur head if u don't,' was the next message that came, and I could practically hear her voice in my head. 'they'll give u a whole speech about how, as the new kid, ur participation is crucial.'
'I'll wear pjs if you do,' the message was sent before I could stop myself.
'encouraging the wrong grade, jace,' I waited, to see if she would add more. 'fine.'
'Did you by any chance take anatomy last year? ' I didn't bother bragging about my convincing skills.
'there's a chance that i aced honors anatomy last year '
'why?'Now I just seemed dumb. 'Well, I was gonna ask for help, but idk if I want help from a junior and everything.' There. Bring up the class rivalry thing. RFA kids loved that shit.
'u totally want my help'
'when's ur test? ''Tuesday '
