When she opened the door she stood in shock at the condition of the house. All she saw was broken glass, things thrown around, and a... a knife. "Oi! Why're you not-" Nana stopped abruptly, he stood in shock as everyone else gathered around the door. All of a sudden Seri ran through the door shouting Mu's name trying to get some response, anything. As she passed the knife she took a closer look at it without picking it up, all of a sudden she was hit with the smell of blood, she saw blood on the knife as well. "W-what's that smell," Shino said, pinching his nose, "Blood, that smell is blood, and this knife is covered in blood," Seri said, trying to sound as calm as possible. She noticed a trail of blood leading through the house out of the corner of her eye. She silently followed the trail as everyone followed her. The smell of blood got stronger and she started to assume the worst, 'what if he's dead in there,' she thought trying not to panic. "Hey, one of you call the police, this is enough to call them over,' she said with a quiver in her voice.

As Iga called the police they all took a deep breath and started opening the door. "W-wait, what if whoever did this is in there, we need some sort of weapon," Nishina said frantically running to the kitchen and grabbing a knife. She handed it to Serinuma, at this point they were both shaking. Nana came up behind the girls prepared to jump in front of them at the first sign of danger. Seri shakily and slowly opened the door to reveal a bloody passed-out Mutsumi. Shi ran over to him trying to shake him awake and Nana called for an ambulance. All they could think is 'Why Mutsumi he is the nicest person, he didn't deserve this.'

5 mins later

They had gotten Mu wrapped up, but he was still unconscious. As they carried him to the living room the ambulance arrived. Paramedics came into the house with a stretcher and put Mu in the ambulance. They drove away as the four friends waited for the police. After waiting a couple of minutes the police showed up. "What happened here, kids?" one of the officers asked, looking at Iga. Seri spoke up quickly, "We don't know, ma'am. We were concerned about our friend and just got here about ten minutes ago. We opened the door to this." The officer nodded to her partner to come in, "He is going to drive you all to the hospital with your friend, make sure to call your parents while in the car as well as his. I'm sure his mother will be worried when getting a phone call from the hospital." This is when Seri had a realization, his mother should have been home, she was a stay at home mom, not to mention this had to have happened in the morning, considering Mu didn't text them. "I think something happened to his mom. She should have been home, she is a stay at home mom and this had to have happened in the morning," Serinuma spoke slightly frantically as Ni hugged her to try and calm her down though she was terrified too.

The officer called for backup so they could look for any clues as to where the mother may have gone and to take pictures of the scene. She did this while her partner drove the group of teens to the hospital.

Shinomiya POV

As we were driving I couldn't help but be worried that he may die. He didn't wake up when we shook him or when we were trying to fix him up. I started to have a panic attack in the car as everything set in. My brain was a fog, all I could hear was mumbling as my breathing picked up, the voices got louder but they were still indistinguishable. I felt someone hug me I looked up to see Seri hugging me. "Shi, calm down, it'll all be okay," she said to me in almost a motherly voice. I slowly hugged her back, my breathing slowly calming down as tears streamed down my cheeks.

I'm so worried about him, but why am I crying. No one else is crying so why am I. It's probably cause I'm the youngest or maybe the worst at handling emotions. I don't know so I hugged Seri tighter she hugged me and pet my head trying to calm me down. We were all completely silent, none of us knew what to say, one of our best friends was fighting for his life and we could do nothing about it. Slowly the car started filling with silent sobs, it was like a chain reaction.
