Trouble with hating a Riddle (Mattheo Riddle fanfic)

"For being mean to you"

Mattheo's POV
"What?" She asks again, she drops down from her tippy toe stance which is adorable that she has to tippy toe to reach my face.

"What, Mattheo?" She asks again, she called me by my first name?

"He-He hits you?" I finally ask, I know the answer from her face.

Bree's POV
Shit! I said that out loud, fuck, what do I do?

"Uhhh... no?" Great cover, Bree. Mattheo stands there in shock.

"He hits you..." he whispers, then he hugs me. Which is not a thing we do. I hesitate, then hug him back. Then Blaise enters the room.

"Hey, man, you got the homework..." he sees us hugging and his eyes widen, "never mind." And walks back out, closing the door behind him. Mattheo lets go, "I'm sorry." He says.

"For what?" I ask, as I pull away from him. And went back to the tippy toe pose to clean the blood on his cheek. He puts his hand on my hand that was cleaning his cheek. I look in his brown eyes.

"For being mean to you."

"It's okay, it helped me, actually, can we act like this didn't happen? I can't let him know I let it out." I say, he hesitates but agrees. "Also, DONT tell anyone." She said then looked at the time.

"Detention time."
Mattheo's POV

I couldn't stop thinking about it. I sat in the potions room waiting for professor Snape, Bree on the other side of the room. She was drawing in book, I wonder what she's drawing, thinking, feeling. Snape entered, "you two will write I will not talk during lesson time one hundred times. I will be back in an hour." Then he left.

"Ugh, I don't wanna do this." She said, then mumbled a spell to do it for her. I did the same.  She sighed. "Sooo..."

"Sooo, Shortie, what should we do?" I suggested. She rolls her eyes then walk along the shelves. I picked her up and placed her on a desk.

"What are you doing, Mattheo?" She asked. Again with the first name. I shrugged, then started tickling her. She started laughing, I smiled. I haven't heard her real laugh in a long time.

Bree's POV
"How was detention with Riddle?" Audrey asked. I smiled a little then released that we have to act mean to each other at least in front of people.

"Terrible." I said, felt arms hug my neck from behind. Knowing exactly who it is, I looked up with a fake smile.

"Hiii" I say, being fake happy with him. I saw Mattheo in the corner of my eye with his hands in fists and his jaw clenched. Malfoy walks up to us.

"What is he doing in the Slytherin common room?" He asked coldly. Liam snickered.

"I'm seeing my beautiful baby. Gosh, you just hate our relationship don't you, Malfoy?" He smirks, lifts up my chin and kisses me. A very passionate kiss. Draco rolls his eyes.

"Get a room."

Liam stops kissing me, " bye baby." He says and leaves. I look over to where Mattheo was but he was gone.

Toms POV
I have always known Mattheo had a thing for Finley, even if he didn't know it. So when Liam came in, Mattheo wasn't in the mood. His hands were fists and his jaw clenched. Liam kisses Bree which made him leave the room and up to his dorm. I follow him, I knock on his door then came in.

"What's up with you today?" I ask him, he glares at me. I close the door and sit next to him on his bed.

"First Liam fights me, Bree helps me clean up, she told me...something then he kisses her?!?" He said, loud, getting up. I sit there confused, watching him pace back and forth.

"And she's going to let this happen?!?"

The door swung open. Bree stands there with her little knife she used at lunch. She looks at me, "leave." I glance between my brother and her.

"Fine. Don't hurt him." I say and walk out.

Mattheo's POV

"What the hell was that about!" I yell, I punch the wall. She flinches, I stop. "Sorry." She just nods and slowly walks up to me, knife still in her left hand.

"I have to act like nothing happens or something worse will happen. And you blabbering to your brother isn't going to help me at all." She said, I watch her as she rip some of a shirt with her hands and wraps it around the hand I just punched the wall with. I nod.
She smirks," this is Liam's shirt he gave me, I don't wear it, so rip it." 

"Sorry, Bree." I say and she smiles at me.
