Chapter 7

"Get off me mcCall" I say as I shove Scott off me. "Tori, what are you doing here?" asked Isaac confused. "I couldn't sleep so I decided to take a walk, until Scott tackled me for some reason; why did you tackle me?" I ask  "I uh well I um I thought you were someone else" said Scott stuttering. All of a sudden I see my mate. He seemed bewildered. "Who are you?" asked my mate.

"This is Tori. She goes to our school." said Scott. My mate nodded while staring at me with his emerald green eyes . "Why did you tackle me?" I inquired while putting my hands on my hips and raising my eyebrows. "We were following something and it got away" Scott says. 

"Whatever I need to get back home. Good night Scott, Issac, and whoever you are" I say as I point to my mate and walk away. "wait the woods isn't safe we should walk with you to make sure you get home safe." Said Isaac. "I'm a big girl Isaac I can take of myself but thanks for the offer." I say as I walk away. "They're right the woods are not safe let me drive you home." says my mate. 

"Didn't your parents ever teach you stranger danger?" I asked. My mate chuckles. "Derek's a good friend of ours you can trust him. I mean you trust us, trust that we want to keep you safe." said Scott. "Who says I trust you" I say. 

"Ok let's make a deal If you let me take you home we can get ice cream your choice." says Derek. I acted like I was pondering the decision. "Alright but if I end up dead it's on you two. I said as I pointed to Scott and Isaac. "Alright." said Isaac and Scott. 

As soon as we got to his car he unlocked it and we got in. "Think they bought it?" I asked with a smirk. My mate looked confused and then his face lit up with realization. "That was you wasn't it?" he said "Noooooo, it was a ghost of a wolf" I said sarcastically.

He chuckled  "So what's with the fake skepticism." He asked. "I haven't told Scott and Isaac or anyone else in this town for that matter that I one, know about the supernatural and two that I am supernatural." I explained to him."I want to tell them on my own terms without being forced by something or someone."I tell he nods. 

"I agree telling people about the supernatural is hard just doing it on your own terms but being forced to do it because of something you can't explain without telling them is even worse." He says. "Where are we going?" i asked ." Our deal you come with me we'd get ice cream" He said. "You were serious?" I said. 

"Of course I was" he replies as we pull up to J.P. Licks (Actual ice cream shop name). "What's your favorite ice cream flavor?" Derek asks. " Mint Chocolate Chip" I say as we walk up to the counter. "One Mint Chocolate Chip and one Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough Cone please." Derek says to the cashier. We get our cones and leave. 

"Thank you" I say with a smile. " Your welcome." he replies returning my smile. We sit in a comfortable silence the rest of the ride to my house.  He pulls up into the driveway. We walk up to the door. "Thank you for driving me home." I say. "You're most welcome. I should get going it's getting late." He says 

"Yeah, I have to go too I have a paper to right. Good night Derek." I reply. He turned around and walked away but not before gently cupping my face with his hands and saying. "Until next time Angel" and softly kissing my head. My heart melted as he walked away. I turned back to the front door with the biggest grin. and my cheeks are as red as roses. 

I walk up to my room and sit down on my bed. I blush as I think of Derek and when we'll see each other again. As I shake my head my thoughts about Derek become scarce. I grab my laptop and start on my history paper but after a while thoughts of Derek slowly crept back into my mind.  

Soon I wasn't able to think about anything other than Derek. I closed my laptop because it was obvious I wasn't going to get anymore of the paper done because I can't think straight. I decided to look up information in my books. 'After finding your mate you'll feel a pull towards the person whether it's mental or physical.
