Saturday afternoon. Joshua had thought about what Angel had said, then again. Why should he take Angel's advice. Why should I listen to Angel..? He doesn't even have a girlfriend, he doesn't know what to do. Does he? Of course not..
Monday had arrived. The second day of school. He decided, if he can't be with Yshell, at least he can be a supportive friend. He walks by to his locker, noticing that Yshell was also shuffling through hers. "W-What are you looking for?" asks Joshua. Nervously Yshell replies, "I can't find my fricken phone! D-do you have yours?! I just need to make a quick phone call to my mom."
Joshua skims through his pockets and hands her his iPhone. There was awkward silent for a moment. Ring..Ring "¿Hola mamá? Soy yo Yshell. Dejé mi teléfono en casa. ¿Me lo puedes Traer? Gracias." (Hello mom? It's Yshell. I left my phone at home. Can you drop it off for me? Thank you)
"Here, thank you." Yshell says as she hands him his phone back. Their hands touch for a minute. As Yshell walks back, she bumps into someone. "Oh hi Carter!" Joshua looks at Yshell confused.
"Oh yea, you haven't met him yet, this is Carter. He's in my english class." Joshua's face was stern for a while. "Nice to meet you..Carter.." Shaking Carter's hand with full force. "So Yshell, want to stu-"
"Yshell, let's go." says Carter grabbing her hand and dragging her away from Joshua. She looked back and motioned 'sorry' as she left. It felt as if Carter was purposely trying to take Yshell away from him. But why?
At Angel's House
"Yo man, whats up?" Angel asked looking at Joshua. "It's just Carter. He's been dragging Yshell everywhere and I tried reaching out to her but she declined all my calls. She never does that." mumbled Joshua.
"Mhm. Hmm. Mhm! I know what's your problem. You're jealous. You gotta take back what's yours." Joshua was quiet for a brief moment. "No, what the fuck. She doesn't even like me back."
"Sure buddy." Angel replies hysterically. They decide to study together while Joshua's at his house. Buzz..Buzz..Buzz.. "Angel, what the heck, answer your phone." as Joshua takes off his headphones. "Chill, okay I will." Angel asking, "There happy?"
Joshua nods his head, yet is curious on who Angel's texting. Although Joshua cannot see who he's texting, he does see a smile appear on Angel's face. "So..Who are you texting?"
"Hehe, no one. No one." Angel said smiling.
