Chapter 5: Meeting The Famous Simon Cowell

I am dizzy just by staring at the prices crazily appeared on the cash machine's screen as the cashier scanned the barcodes of the clothes. It's too much numbers!

Stanley went to get a suitcase for me and he took all my shopping bags. All of sudden, I felt hungry so I went to Nando's. I still remember the last time I went there when I was seven and that's because Riley's birthday. We had a good time because my mum was alive back there and she always knows my favourite. God, how much I missed her right now. So I went to queue but it's not a long line. After a couple minutes, it's my turn to order

"2 twister fries, 2 chicken wings with medium sauce.1 diet coke and 1 sprite please?" I simply ordered."Sure, that will cost £30."

After hearing that, I took some money that I've save before from my bra and counted it. Good, I have £200 so I gave her the amount of money and I carry the food tray to an empty table on the corner while waiting for Stanley to show up.

I was looking around, admiring the mall and suddenly Stanley appeared with a huge suitcase and there is another small suitcase. I am stunned when I gaze at the suitcases. Both of them are shiny, black and it looks very elegant and classy. I wonder how much did he spent on those? For me?

"Becky? So you've already get the food already, huh?" Stan playfully asked me.

I just rolled my eyes, ignoring him and continue drinking and admiring this mall. After a few seconds we chatted and laughing around, the waitress came towards our table and gave me a set of twister fries.

"Sorry girl, I forgotten to give your twister fries" she said with a smile.

"Its okay, thanks by the way" I said."Oh and by the way, you guys look cute together" she claimed and still with her smile.

Well, this is awkward.."Uh, oh... No! We're not together we're best friend" I corrected her and blushed.

Stanley quickly ran to her while chuckling and gave her some money."I said because I wanted too, not for the money please..." she explained to Stanley."No no... It's for the food" Stanley replied back.

"Oh! But your 'friend' has already paid for it" she said with the air quotes and points at me."Becky? Wait where did you get the money?" he said in shocked.

"Come on Stanley I worked and I always keep money in my bra for emergency" I casually explained to him.

"Oh- Kay... so let's eat us need to catch a plane soon" he awkwardly said and hungrily grabs the fries.

After we have finished our food we walked around the mall and waited outside the mall. Stanley said there will be a car picking us here and I am still amazed how easy Stan's life is. He has cars, moneys, real dad and many other things that I had never experienced. Stanley waves happily to a guy across the road who looked like Stanley but older, driving his car and park it in front of us.

"Uh, Stan, who's that?" I hesitantly questioned Stan."Oh... that's my-" "Hi, I'm Simon Cowell, Stanley's dad, the one who's on the phone with you about your job? You must be Rebecca, then. Stan has been talking about you a lot." He said cutting Stan off and Stanley just stare at his father for telling me so many things about him.

"Okay... well pleasure to finally meeting you sir" I said politely.

"Oh please don't be too formal with me you can call me Uncle Simon, I'm really used to be called Uncle, I know this make me feel old but I'm happy with it and my boys... they just lighten up my days!" He said as if he is in a wonderland.

'My boys?' maybe it's his son...

Stanley never told me he had siblings except about her sister that moved to LA. Getting out of my silly thoughts, we chatted for a while and we hugged. Wow, this family sure do love hugs. Stanley opened the bonnet of the car and put our luggage. Stanley and I sat at the back seat and his father drives us to the airport.
