Y/n P.O.V~

I slept soundly as I heard a voice speak up.

???:" Y/n."

I then heard the voice scream out.

Elizabeth:" Oi Y/n!"

I quickly woke up, seeing my sister sitting next to me as she spoke.

Elizabeth:" Come on, Y/n time to get up; we're at the school."

I yawned as I looked outside Hank's window to see the school building.

I looked around the car to see that only Elizabeth and I were in the car.

Y/n:" Where's Hank?"

Elizabeth:" He said that he was going to get us our rooms and for us to wait in the car."

I sighed, rested my head on the window, and looked at the building. It was a beautiful campus, but I was slightly hesitant to be attending here.

Elizabeth:" You okay, bro? "

Y/n:" Yeah, just a bit nervous."

Elizabeth:" How come?"

Y/n:" Well, the first day of school is always challenging, and I mean, it's a school full of mutants. It's going to take time to adjust. Plus, we don't even have any other clothes, just those we have. We didn't get the chance to pack up our stuff."

Elizabeth put her hand on my shoulder as she spoke.

Elizabeth:" Y/n relax, it's going to be fine; the people here are just like us, and we can always go clothes shopping later."

Y/n:" But we don't have any money."

Elizabeth covered my mouth, silencing me as she spoke.

Elizabeth:" Relax Y/n, and don't worry about that right now; we could always get some part-time jobs or something."

Y/n:" But we're mutants. What employer would want to hire us?"

Elizabeth:" Y/n quit being so pessimistic we can't do that right now. You need to look on the bright side."

I sighed, looking down as I begrudgingly agreed.

Y/n:" I guess you're right."

Elizabeth smiled as she spoke, patting my back.

Elizabeth:" That's the spirit."

*scene change*

Third-person P.O.V~

At the age of twenty-six, a young woman with a streak of white running through her brown hair angrily stomped out of a room with a suitcase in her hand as a voice echoed out of the room.

???2:" Wait a minute, cher, we can talk dis over."

The woman growled as she turned around spoke.

???1:" For the last goddamn time, Remy, no, we can not!"

Remy grabbed the woman's covered shoulder.

Remy:" Anna cher, wait a minute."

Anna quickly broke Remy's grip on her as she spoke.

Anna:" Enough, Remy! You and I are over, you goddamn cheater!"

Anna began to speed up as she approached a staircase. However, Remy once again grabbed onto Anna's shoulder again. Anna angrily turned around, stumbling as she did so, making her fall down the staircase. Anna's fall was broken when she landed on a young man making him groan.

Y/n:" Ouch."

Not realizing that she had landed on someone, Anna put her hands down to push herself up. But as she felt Y/n's skin, she quickly looked down and panicked as Y/n spoke.

Y/n:" Could you please stop touching me?"

Anna:" Whut?"

Y/n slightly gulped as he spoke.

Y/n:" W-Well, it's not that I don't enjoy being touched by a beautiful woman, but I have to get going."

Anna was shocked she had been touching Y/n for almost a minute, and her powers hadn't drained the life out of him, then a voice echoed out.

Elizabeth:" Y/n!!!"

Y/n shoved Anna off of him as he spoke.

Y/n:" Sorry, that's my sister."

Y/n ran off going to his sister as Anna looked down at her hands and why she didn't drain Y/n like everyone else she touched, had her powers been turned off? Remy quickly came rushing down the stairs and spoke with worry in his voice.

Remy:" Cher, are you okay?"

Remy touched Anna's hand, forgetting that it was ungloved. Remy's eyes widened as his energy drained from him before he fell to the floor unconscious. Anna cursed as she just knocked out her ex, but if she still had her powers, why wasn't Y/n affected?

*Scene change*

Y/n sat in Hank's office with several medical sensors hooked up to him as Elizabeth, who was sitting in the corner, spoke.

Elizabeth:" So Hank, any luck on finding what Y/n's powers are? I want to go to my room and take a nap."

Hank:" I have, but I need to test something. Y/n, could you please hold out our hand."

Y/n put his hand on Hank's medical table as he spoke.

Hank:" Hey Y/n, what's your favorite color?"

Y/n:" Black I gue-"

Hank suddenly slammed a hammer down on Y/n's hand as it bounced off of Y/n's green energy shield, making the hammer go flying.

Y/n:" Son of a bitch!"

Elizabeth quickly stood up as she spoke.

Elizabeth:" Hank, what the fuck was that for."

Hank spoke as he watched Y/n's energy field disappear.

Hank:" Sorry about that, Y/n, but I was just testing if Y/n could still feel pain due to his energy field.

Y/n:" What?"

Hank:" Allow to elaborate, Y/n your power is an energy field that is always surrounding you, every time you get hit, or something will injure you the energy field will deflect it however it, you will still feel the pain from whatever struck you."

Y/n:" Yeah, I can feel that."

Hank:" Also, it seems that it can cancel nearby and makes you immune to other mutant powers."

Elizabeth:" I see, so that's why I could use my lightning when I touched your shoulder."

Y/n:" So now that we know what my powers are, does that mean we can go to our rooms?"

Hank:" Yes, you can leave, but Y/n I do want to run some tests later."

Y/n sighed as he got up out of his seat.

Y/n:" Understood."

The siblings left Hank's laboratory and parted ways going to their respective rooms. Elizabeth went straight to bed, needing to take a nap, but Y/n laid in his bed looking up at the ceiling as he spoke to himself.

Y/n:" This is going to take some getting used to."
