parents' greed

"it's very nice to finally meet you" miseok smiles at felix.

"you too, chan tells me you're one of his favorite people" miseok looks at chan.

"awww" she hugs him.

"okay okay miseok"

"come on don't act so tough around your boyfriend now" she crosses her arms then looks at felix. "he's a real sweetie pie"

"he is" felix says as chan's cheeks turn a red color.

"aw okay I'll stop embarrassing you now, go have fun" miseok says as chan grabs felix's hand so they can go upstairs into his bedroom.

"your house is huge" felix says.

"I know, I don't really like it. the only reason I kept this house is so I can keep miseok"

"I can tell she's more than a maid to you"

"she is, she's been there for me more than my own mom" chan looks down and felix holds his hand.

"well I'm gonna be there now" chan looks at felix and smiles.

there's a knock at the door.

"mr. bang I just got a phone call and it's important" miseok walks in.

"come on call me chan, and what is it?"

"it's from your parents"

"so?"

"they know about you and felix"

"how did they find out!?" chan stands up.

"I don't know... they just told me that they want to see you"

"yeah no that's not happening" chan sits back down.

"maybe you should go and see what they have to say" felix looks at chan.

"but I already know what they're gonna say... they're not gonna approve of us... they're gonna say that I'm a disappointment to the family and how I should be just like jeongin like they always say to me"

"how about if I go with you?"

"I want you to come but I don't know if that's a good idea..." chan looks down.

"come on it's gonna be fine" chan glances at felix then back down, and looks up again.

when chan enters the house, he gets the shivers as he always hates coming to be around his family who don't even care about him anymore.

"chan" his dad is the first to see him.

"why did you want me to come here?"

"I see you brought him with you" his dad looks at felix.

"he's the only way I'd come"

his mom then comes downstairs to see chan.

"so you brought him with you..." she says as she walks closer to them.

"yeah so what?"

"you know that this will bring you consequences right?" his dad says.

"what makes you think so? why so all of a sudden you care so much about this?" chan looks at the two of them who looked disappointed.

"don't you understand? nobody will support it, your fans won't support you anymore, they'll stop being your fans which means your career is over" his mom says.

"and why should you guys care about that?"

"because we're your parents and—"

"that's bullshit! you never cared about me yet and I don't see any reason why you should now" he looks down, then his eyes widen as he looks up again.

"wait a minute...." he looks at the two of them. "I know what this is, you greedy mother fuckers"

"chan language—"

"shut up! you actually think it's okay to take the money I make!? that's what it is... that's why you care about what the fans think... because you know some of the money goes to you since you're my parents... I hate you both" chan has tears in his eyes as he finally is able to lash out on his parents.

"you adopted jeongin because you wanted a normal son... one who isn't famous... yet you do this to me..."

"well I guess there's no hiding it now" his dad says.

"both of you can go to hell" chan grabs felix's hand as he barges out of the house slamming the door shut.

when he gets in his car he just sits there without saying anything.

"chan..."

"I wish they weren't my parents at all... and... I wish I wasn't famous either now... because it brought them to hurt me"

"but you never would've came here and met me" chan looks at felix.

"that's the only reason why I don't regret it" felix hugs chan to comfort him and he hugs him back.
