That was....unexpected.

I didn't think it was going to be that easy

I mean, I'm not judging, it's just... I expected more of a fight from someone who wouldn't even let me finish my sentence, And closed the door in my face.

But something feels... Off.

Like there's something right in front of me. So much so I could grab it.
But what?

I guess I'll find out.

In the mean time let's set up for tomorrow. Cause I know after hearing the terms and conditions of being James caretaker none of us will be in the mood for Chit Chat.

Time skip
In the meeting...

I'm observing the room, whilst we wait for the now two super soldiers to arrive.

In the room is Tony and Bruce talking about...Gadgets and devices, Sam and Peitro are arm wrestling and talking about random stuff, Loki and Thor aren't here, And Me, Wanda, Yelena, and Nat are having a conversation.

"So what do you think Liz?" Wanda asked putting the attention in the conversation on me.
"Huh? I'm sorry can you repeat that?" I asked confused
"I said when do you think we should have our next girls night, and in who's room" Wanda repeats
"Oh! Umm... how about in my room and tonight?"
"Cool I'm down" Nat responds.
"Yea me too" Wanda says

Just then both soldiers walked in the meeting room. James standing behind Steve, I'm assuming because he's nervous being with all these new faces.

"Oh look who decided to join the party! Our two favorite fossils" Tony says.

Some people laugh -I may have giggled a little- but not the point

"Really Tony?" Steve asked annoyed "Really" Tony mocks, with a bored tone. "You know what!-"
"Hey! Settle down." I intervene, before things get to out of hand like...last time

"Ok" both men huff in unison. Bucky just looks surprised I could get both stubborn men to listen, especially Tony he was not very easy to handle, but as I said one of a kind.

"Anyway. I called this meeting to talk about Two things. One mission reports and two some progress were making to help tin- Barnes" Tony corrects himself after looking at Steve.

"Let's start with missions as it's our safest bet. Ok Young Romanoff and Pietro. You both have an in and out at this Warehouse. you're files you leave in two days." Tony briefs

Time skip

"And second to last topic. Rogers and Nat you have an undercover mission for this old HYDRA base. Just to scope for any suspicious behavior." Tony says

I notice James just barely tense at the mention of that god awful organization.

"It's a one week mission here are your files you leave in a week." Tony finishes up with the missions.

"Now for my second topic of this meeting." This is the moment I've been dreading this entire time.

"So we all know the rules of the pardon." he pauses waiting for a response, in which we all nod our heads to.

"Well one of the rules of the pardon is for Barnes to have a therapist... well we found one.... and it's... Elizabeth." Tony says unsure of the reactions.

"Wait what?!" Peitro says startled by the surprising news.

"Yes but it's fine I'll still have time for all of you... but, I'm not just James's therapist.... I'm his caretaker" I assure.

"Wait. But isn't being a caretaker a full time job. Meaning you won't have time to deal with the rest of us." Yelena says, connecting the dots.

"Yes.. but! There will be a replacement therapist who will help you out until I get back." I reply

Looking at James he doesn't reply. He kinda just sits there.

But looking at the others is a whole different story.

Steve looks apologetic, Tony and Wanda look unsure of the outcome, Nat, And Pietro look pissed, Bruce and Sam look kinda sad, Yelena and Clint look dumbfounded not knowing what to say.

-Thor and Loki aren't here, being busy dealing with Asgard and God things-

"Oh and this arrangement will be going on for the rest of the year or at least until we get the confirmation from Elizabeth." Nick says walking in

Everyone looks shocked, but mostly... Bucky. Like he wasn't expecting it to be this long.

"Well that's all if the meeting, or at least on my part. But Fury if you have anything else to add feel free to share" Tony inquires.

"Thanks Stark." Fury says "And yes I do." Walking to the center of the room, and In front the screen,

"First, you're care taking will start after this." Fury says turning away from James and turning towards the screen.

"You all have a mission, it's a retrieve mission. We found an old HYDRA base, and a Big one to be exact, you all leave in 30 minutes" Nick informs.

"Yes Williams. Also you don't have to raise your hand" Nick says to feeble attempt of respect.

Lowering my hand "um by all of us you just mean the Superhero's in the room. Correct?" I question hoping that I don't get the answer completely fear.

"On contrary yes I mean everyone including you." Nick confirms.

"Um, one just one more question, it's actually quite simple. Well if you ask me it would be quite simple, but If you we're to ask someone else it would probably differ from the perspective-" I ramble out of nervousness.

"Williams. You're doin it again just ask you're question." Nick says quite obviously bored of my rambling problem.

"Sorry. Um just... Why?" I say gaining more control of myself.

"Why what?" Nick asks being fully aware as to my question.

"Why, am I going on this mission? Especially without any abilities or proper training" I question

"Because, we need you to Fly. And Incase they get Barnes to turn back-not saying he will. But if that were to happen we would have someone to stabilize him." Nick confirms.

Well now I feel bad for asking.

"Ok" it's all I can say at the moment, having come up with nothing else.

"But we will let you borrow one of Natasha's old bulletproof suits Incase someone were to attack the Jet." Nick adds.

"Well that's all go get suited up. You leave in 15minutes." Fury says closing off the meeting.

I don't say anything.

No one does.

The first one to break this insufferable silence is Wanda.

"Well That was something... good and bad. Good because this will technically be Lizzie's first mission, and Bad because...do I really have to say why?" Wanda says brewing the silence.

"Cmon Lizzie, lets go get you dressed." Nat says trying to look at the bright side.

" yeah. Plus I always wondered what you would look like in a skin tight suit." Yelena says. Partly to have an excuse to leave the awkward room, and the other part to see me in nat's suit.

"Oh yeah. And it's adjustable you know Stark tech. Meaning it will hug you in all the right places" Nat adds teasing me. Smirk evident in her lips

I feel my face flush at the blunt comments. But what makes it worse is that it was in front of the boys.

Whisking me away. Just before we leave I comment "why do you guys have to be so blunt."
