Song of the chapter: Only a Human- Christina Perry
***
I woke up feeling completely numb. My eyes felt heavy and extremely hard to open, that was followed by a headache. And not just a headache, it felt like someone was banging my head with a hammer. This is what happens if you cry yourself to sleep. Whatever, I'm used to it already.
I slipped out of bed and walked into the bathroom cursing myself for waking up this morning. I looked myself in the mirror. My dark brown hair was hanging lose past my soulders some of them falling in my face. My light blue eyes had these ugly dark circles beneath them and they were still red from all the last night crying. I bit my bottom lip and looked down at my arm. I slowly pulled up my sleeve and my scared skin came into view. I run my finger up and down the last night cuts. It sent shivers all over my body. I got quickly undressed and hoped into the shower. I didn't even want to look that body in the mirror.
After finishing my shower I wore my black jeans and black sweater. I pulled my hair up into a ponytail and I put on my worn out converse. I grabbed my backpack and my phone. Walking down the stairs I saw my dad sleeping on the couch with beer bottles scatered all over the floor. I let out a heavy breath and exited the house, walking down the street on my way to school.
I plug in my earphones and find my way to my only escape; Music. Music is the only thing that makes me feel like I belong somewhere, like I'm not going insane. People disgust me. They are all full of misery and hatred, they never appreciate anything in life. Music is beautiful and pure, music is sharing life and gives you the opportunity to open up. Music says things in three minutes that I could not say in a lifetime...
Before I realised it I was in front of my school. Time for another day in Hell.
