"Lisa! Lisa! Help me!" I screamed on top of my lungs as I held Jisoo's shaking body.
The door went open and Lisa ran towards us.
"What happened?" Lisa panicked as she tried to grab Jisoo's hand and place it in her cheeks.."What's wrong, Chicken?"
Jisoo's eyes went big as her palm recognized Lisa. She quickly let go of me and started giving her hand signals.
"What happened? What's wrong, Chipmunk?! Did you make it? How was your performance?? I know you can pull that song pretty well. You're a genius. But why are you crying?" Lisa said translating.
"Lisa, tell Chaeyoung. I'm fine. Everything is fine. It's just dark.. I feel so alone but please I can do this.." Lisa's eyes started to get wet as she tried to read aloud each sign with the sound of Jisoo whimpering. "J-just hold my hand."
She's scared and alone but she's worried about me.
"I'll get used to this.. This is nothing compared to the sadness I felt when I thought I left you behind." Lisa added.
I broke down again. I started to let out this unending tears that were escaping inside of me.
If I was her, I might have asked heaven to take me and let them mourn for me in days. And let Jisoo find someone worth loving..
But Jisoo, she fought hard to come back to me for she knows there is no one who could fill her space in my heart. I am nothing without her.
She's my lifesaver.
"I'm fine, Chu. I'm here. I'm okay! Everything will be okay," I said as I wiped my tears with my arms.
"Damn, Lisa! Tell her! Tell her we're fine!" I yelled at Lisa who was in tears.
"Calm down!" she yelled back. "I have my ways." Lisa pat Jisoo's head and Jisoo's worried face clears up in an instant.
"She'll be fine," Lisa said. "Now do your thing. Tell her you're fine."
I raised my eyebrows at her. "How?"
"I don't know.. maybe kiss her, for sure she'll realize it was you.."
I blushed but I immediately cupped her face and placed my lips on her. Not moving. Feeling the thin heart shaped lips of her.
I was shaking, but she accepted my lips and smiled in between. "Saranghe," she said.
It was sweet ,it was gentle with a subtle salty taste that was rolling from her face.
Lisa tapped my shoulder and I parted our lips. "Your parents are outside , Chaeng. Probably at the window, watching us. Jennie already told them the situation and your plan.."
Now that Jisoo is in a different state, Jennie took the responsibility of making rational decisions for us. I can't fight against her, cause sure enough, she's always right.
She always knew what to do next and didn't let her emotional state take over her head, unlike me. Just like how Jisoo honed her.
I just nodded and looked at the window. I saw my mom crying and my dad's fierce face.
I left Jisoo with Lisa and inhaled the confidence to talk to them.
"Mom." I mumbled as I face my teary-eyed mother who was watching us a while ago. "I--"
"Are you sure about this?" She asked.
"Jisoo needs my eyes." I turned my gaze away from them. "I.. I'm sure of this."
