Day three

🌀🌀🌀

I wake up at around three o'clock because my mobile phone is ringing and bleeping non-stop, making me wondering if something bad happened. The whole screen enlightens all of a sudden, making me blink and try to shut the brightness out.

From: Cecilia💖

I have the best news ever, wake up handsome

-

please Marc, come on

-

fine, ignore me then

-

I sigh heavily as I glance at the screen, reading about twenty messages that are all by Cecilia and came in around five minutes ago.

Can't good news wait until the morning?

My thumbs don't move as quickly as usual over the screen which probably is the result of waking me up at three am.

To: Cecilia 💖

You do realize that there's a time difference between our countries? But tell me anyways cariño x

-

I sigh as Cecilia takes a while to reply, my eyelids getting heavier and heavier as I lean back against the wall to just close my eyes for a second...

Bleep!

Groaning, I shift myself up again as I realize that I nearly fell asleep again and check my messages.

From: Cecilia💖

oh shit I am sorry, i clearly forgot about that babe... it's only eight pm here! but there's a painting contest being held and I sure as hell will participate because the prize is going to be a week trip to Barcelona x

-

My heart starts to pound heavily as a wide smile creeps onto my face. If Cecilia wins we are finally going to meet again and I will be able to hold her precious self into my arms again like I used to.

To: Cecilia💖

I know you are going to make it bonita, I wish you all the best x
I really hope I am going to see you again earlier than I thought because of this contest!

-

Don't be mad at me cariño, but I got to sleep, I have practise tomorrow xx

-

I turn my phone off as I don't want to be woken up again and cuddle deeper into the soft material of the mattress, a smile playing on my face as I slowly drift off to sleep.

"Where do you see yourself in twenty years Marc?"

I am a little taken back by her words, leaning back in the wooden chair I am sitting on in Cecilia's hotelroom. Her eyes glister in the most beautiful way possible as I study her round face. It isn't that she's fat or something but she hasn't got a perminent jawline nor high cheekbones what makes her face look like the one of a child. Innocent, pure, free of prejudice.

A smile makes its way onto my lips as Cecilia starts looking at me patiently, her legs swinging back and forth.

"I see myself beside the woman I love and who happens to be my wife. There are two children infront of us; a boy with a football in his hands, probably not older than ten years old and a little girl with cute blonde locks and gorgeous blue eyes"
