(Sorry for no updates, and I don't think I'm going to worry about editing as much.)

Roman had been trying to figure out whenever he tried to talk to Virgil about the project, that he was just getting ignored. That was also rude. How could someone ignore someone like Roman? It was a privilege for sure.

He continued poking Virgil on the shoulder until Virgil suddenly snapped, taking off his headphones and facing forward toward Roman. "Oh my god, when people ignore you, do you really keep trying to ignore them?"

Virgil's voice was loud enough for all the other student's voices to drown out and look over, which Virgil shrunk in his seat in embarrassment.

"... We're partners on the project, we're supposed to work together, right?" Roman spoke more quietly- but not quietly for long. "Come on, I don't want to be partnered with you either, so let's just get this over with, yeah?"

Virgil ran his hand through his hair as he sighed. "Okay, sure. Let's get this over with." Virgil muttered. "Do you want to meet up... uh... somewhere?" Virgil finally let his temper and annoyance down. He only had to deal with this Royal Pain for a few days.

Roman gave a bright grin, that could have blinded Virgil if he were looking. "Splendid! How about we go to that café down at Cormier Street? Saturday at 1?"

Virgil didn't really like going out to other places... but he didn't want Roman at his house, and he didn't want to go to his either. "Yeah, sure." He stood as the bell rang. "See you there."

~~Time skip to Saturday~~

Throughout the rest of the week, Virgil's anxiety was going haywire thinking that he had to go out in public with Roman. It wasn't a date, obviously. He would never ever go on a date with that Prince Pissy. (Virgil couldn't take credit for that, he heard Remus say it a lot.) It was just working on a project together. He could do that. Totally.

He pocketed his phone after checking the time. It was currently 1:15. Roman was late and it was making him even more anxious waiting.  Soon enough, he heard the bell ring as the prince himself stepped in, sliding in the seat across from Virgil.

"Did you miss me?"

"No."

"Oh. Well... uh- the project, yeah?" Hm... something about Roman was off to Virgil too. Sure, he never really knew the guy that much to know if something was wrong, but usually, Roman would mock in offense to those sort of things.

The way Roman walked in, hadn't been really Roman. The way he had smiled, but didn't had that same light as it had before... something was definitely off.

Roman didn't like the silence, or the fact that Virgil was staring down at him. "What?" Roman shifted a bit uncomfortably in his seat.

Virgil rolled his eyes. "Look, I don't care," Maybe he did a little. "But what's up with you?"

"Nothing? I'm perfectly alright. Been a long week is all..."

"Hm..." Virgil leaned back against his seat as he crossed his arms, continuing to study Roman's face for something more, if there was any. "Culture shock much?"

"What??" There was that offended look. "There is no culture shock going on, I'm doing very well for like... the first week of school." Roman explained, avoiding Virgil's stare.

Virgil rolled his eyes. "Okay big guy, you can deny it, but it's okay. Okay... the project."

~~Small time skip~~

After talking and discussing things, while getting along and bickering at the same time, Virgil and Roman decided to wrap it up. There were a few times where Virgil attempted to hide a smile from one of Roman's stories, or just how he ended up rambling about Musicals and Disney... Honestly, it was a bit refereeing to talk to someone like Roman. But also it was a pain at the same time because sometimes Roman still couldn't wrap his big empty head on how to act around others.

"Can I walk you home?" Roman asked as they both stepped out of the café.

Virgil looked at Roman and quirked an eyebrow. Thinking it over very shortly. "I uh... I guess." Without another word, Virgil started heading a direction as Roman followed.

The silence was a bit awkward, as Virgil didn't have anything else to say, it cut short as Roman started whistling a tune (Something from Disney?)

Roman looked around as the move down to a street that held some houses that looked like it would fall apart. He opened his mouth to speak but Virgil interrupted him.

"You can stop here now, thanks." Virgil just didn't feel as comfortable as he thought with showing Roman what his house was. He also didn't want to deal with the rich boy Roman pointing out about it a bit rudely.

"What- no hey. You said I can walk you home. Not the street where your uh... home could be." Roman let out a whine.

"Trust me, you wouldn't want to by the end of it. It's fine. It's not that far." Virgil said with a shrug. But that didn't seem to get to Roman's head. "Ahead of here, yeah? Then let's go." Roman said, grabbing Virgil's hand and pulling him along toward the direction the house may be in.

Virgil groaned, knowing he probably couldn't fight this any longer.

"Okay, Princey. This is it." Virgil grumbled, moving his hand away from Roman's grasp. "Uh... thanks." It wasn't the best 'neighborhood' to walk alone.

Roman smirked at the nickname. "Princey? Well, of course I've had to. I had to escort the princess like the good prince I am-" He let out a grunt as Virgil elbowed him in the gut.

"Oh, shut up you Himbo. Get going now." Virgil said as he disappeared into his house, shutting the door.

Roman rubbed his stomach a bit and let out a huff. But a small smile still crept on his face.
