christmas party

So my classes having a Christmas party and my one of my teachers asked me to sing because I've done choir in the past and I said I'd sing if two of my other friends would sing with me and they said that they would so we were all going to sing a song but we're having trouble picking a song I suggested

I saw mommy kissing his Santa Claus

Baby it's cold outside 2020 version but that was banned from our school district I don't know why

deck the halls with gasoline but that was also banned from our school district I also don't know why

I don't want to put their names in this so I'm just going to say friend 1 and friend 2

so friend 1 said that she's not going to sing Taylor Swift and friend who said that she doesn't know those songs which I don't know the Taylor Swift song either UM so I figured we could just learn it

the party isn't till next week

so friend 2 suggested the song on the first day of Christmas, and I don't want to pick something basic so I said well that's kind of basic what if we do something else

she goes OK what if we do holy night I said I don't think we should do holy night because not everyone in our class believes in God and she's like well not everyone celebrates Christmas so why are we going to sing a Christmas song and I said we're going to sing a Christmas song because that's what our teacher asked us to sing and since not everybody celebrates Christmas the least we can do is not sing a religious Christmas song

now she hasn't replied to my text message and I didn't mean to be rude if I came off as rude but I don't know if I came off as rude cause she hasn't said anything to me

So I don't know what to do because I do think it'd be fun to sing at the Christmas party and some of the other kids in our class are going to be performing as well so and I really do want to do this but it's really hard to pick a song and and friend 2 gave like two options and I gave like 4 and friend 1 is just like I'm not going to sing Taylor Swift which I don't understand what's wrong with Taylor Swift
