The One where Diana gets a call

"You look beautiful today..", he kissed my cheeks and made me feel at home.
I opened my eyes and there he was tall, smart, perfect abs and beautiful. He ran his finger through my hair and tucked my baby hair back of my ears. I smiled towards him and kissed him back.
"I bought breakfast", he said with soft voice.
"That's really sweet of you", I said smiling softly. As he leaned forward picking me from bed in bridal style.... I was interrupted by my friend's Lucy's voice!
"Get up! It's already late, don't you have to go for work?!", I got irritated by her noise since it's not first time Lucy interrupted my to be perfect dream.

I know there is nothing called true love but a girl can dream right?
I got and freshen up quickly, I left for work without having breakfast because Lucy don't know how to cook and I don't get up early to cook breakfast for us.. She ends up eating bread basically every morning and me.. well let's just say I skip.
Oh! Did I forget to introduce me? Well my name is Diana, I don't have any financial support so basically I work for paying my college. I am a brilliant student but my status of living is practically very low. I live with my best friend Lucy in her apartment. She is kind enough to provide me a place rent free till her roommate is back from her trip/work whatever. I know I have to find my place quickly but to pay rent I need a proper job.
Recently, my professor has referred me to Hennigan Technology, it's quite large firm for internship. It's been over a week but nobody called me. Probably they didn't consider me.
I work in bakery, which is quite a show since it's famous in town. Uncle Mark, owner, providese loan whenever I need one. He is the sweetest man I ever met.
I saw a man buying few expensive cakes, well I think his girlfriend is very lucky. I wasn't able to see his face because of mask. Damn Covid! Well it kind of saved my ugly face too in work because I haven't applied any makeup and masks kind of saves me in such cases.
I quickly billed the cakes and carried down all the way to his car. I saw three slutty dressed girls sitting in his car.
"Close the door!", He said rudely. I closed the door and he drove off!
So Rude!
I didn't get any chance to react! All rich brats are the same! No wonder they perform poor in academics.
Suddenly my phone rang:
"Hello?", I said after seeing unknown number.
"This is Hannigan techno, I would like to inform you that you have been selected for internship program. Kindly check your mail for joining details. Time and venue has been mailed", she said and hung off the phone.
I missed a beat of breathing. Really! I got in? OMG, that will really help me to save up for college!
I quickly dialled Lucy and she was happy too.
That night we celebrated for my offer as intern. I am really excited to join tomorrow, this would be best experience!
