i was nervous, the test was next period. pansy and luna were cramming in revision but i was just going over my flash cards.

we were all sat outside of the class, waiting for snape to allow us entry to the class.

draco, theo and blaise were lounging behind us, leaning against the wall, luna, pansy and i were just sat on the floor.

"i should have studied earlier" theo whined, i turn around and laugh, "want a shot of these?" i ask, handing him my flash cards, "you're a gem y/n" he smiled.

he turned to look at draco, so i did too, he was glaring at theo with his jaw clenched. theo raised his hands, "what did i do?" he asked, draco stayed silent until theo raised his eyebrows, "you know what you done" he said.

theo smirked when he caught onto what he was talking about, "awh don't worry little draco" theo teased, messing up dracos hair.

"i will kill you with my bare hands" draco said, his tone was annoyed and dark, it kind of turned me on. "oh do it daddy draco! save me from this test!" theo exclaimed, i snort at what he said.

"call me that again and i swear to god" draco taunted, theo gulped and shook his head. "what if y/n were to call you it?" theo said, my mouth fell open, draco looked down at me and raised an eyebrow, "no comment" he said.

the classroom door opened and every single person that was there's head snapped around, snape was stood with a box that we all had to put our wands and personal quills in, he was providing us with anti-cheating ones.

"form a line, hand in your things, take a seat" snape said, i stand up from the floor and flatten out my skirt, making sure it wasn't stuck up at the back.

i take a deep breath and bounce on my toes, trying to make my brain remember everything i would need for this. "you're going to be fine" i hear a whisper from behind me.

i turn and see draco looking down at me, "calm down, you're gonna do great y/n" he smiled, subtly brushing his fingers against my thigh.

my stomach filled with butterflies as i smiled back up at him, "you're gonna do great to draco, but i'm gonna do better" i smirk, grabbing hold of his tie and twirling it in my fingers.

i turn back around and put my things in the box and enter the classroom, all of the desks had been separated already and our papers were sat on the desk.

i take my seat, next to pansy and luna, with blaise, theo and draco in front of us. underneath my desk i bounced my leg,

"okay, listen up, you have one hour to complete this assessment, you may start as soon as i hand you your quill" snape said, everyone started looking around and wishing one another good luck.

draco spun round in his chair, "good luck y/n" he smiled, "good luck draco" i reply, he winked and turned back around.

this had to be an attempt to make me forget everything, but i wasn't going to let it. if anything, i'd let it increase my chances of doing well.

snape placed down quills on the boys desks, then came to my row, and handed us our quills, straight away i opened my paper and wrote my name and date of birth on the paper like we were meant to.
