No One Told You

No one told you,

No one said anything.

Nobody thought to talk about it,

Not one person said one thing.

How life would be so painful,

that the skies would be gray.

How your heart would crack,

and how everything would crumble.

Not one soul let the words slip off their tongue,

about sadness and sorrow.

They let you think life would be easy,

and you wouldn't have to worry about anything.

No one told you,

that you'd want to tie rope around your neck.

They didn't tell you,

You'd want to jump in front of a moving car.

No one told you,

that you might slice your wrists.

No one told you,

that you'd cry yourself to sleep.

That you'd wish to die,

and how you'd have to fake a smile.

No one told you,

you would fight a war on your own.

No one told you,

you wouldn't survive the war.

No one told you,

You'd give up at a young age.

No one told you,

because no one knew.

No one told you,

because they didn't think you'd have any problems.

No one told you,

but they wish they would've,

Because then you would be here,

and everything would be alright.

No one told you,

life would be hard.

You had to figure it out,

for yourself.

No one told you,

and you had to fight.

No one told you,

but it's not their fault.

No one told you.
