A Hole Inside My Chest

There's a hole inside my chest,
an empty wound.
Nothing to fill the darkness,
an empty room.
Pain that shakes through my frame,
turning my skin to ice.
I drag a blade across, with having to pay
scars are the price.
The world keeps turning,
leaving me behind.
Leaving nothing,
but water in sight.
I go under,
no air to breathe.
Everything is dark,
and my heart is set free.

This hole in my chest,
it is finally gone.
Only because I gave up,
and whispered, "I'm done."
