One dance~

Appear & dissapear (Part 3)

Back with another part, and I'm just going with the flow here-

But I don't think it'd be very... normal if there were to be another party- so I'm just gonna sorta add the cannon story into it?

Nothing else to say here so-

let's get into it

~

The night after the dance was a solemn one.

When we had all gotten back to the owl house after dropping amity off, Luz was practically beaming and I had to use all my strength to keep up with just her words, let alone her over enthusiastic actions.

"I cant believe that actually just HAPPENED! I- me- Luz Noceda, got to dance with Amity Blight!" she squealed, the sound piercing through my ears to the point where it hurt.

"Ok, ok- Luz, I get it- I was there, remember? But," I let out a sigh. "I'm glad you had fun." I smiled, putting as much enthusiasm into my voice as I physically and mentally could, whilst slipping my shoes off and chucking them to the side.

"Now- why don't you go and tell Eda ALL about it? I'm sure she'd be happy to hear about your night."

She nodded vigorously before bouncing off in the direction of wherever Eda resided, as I then collapsed into the couch and slapped my hands to my face.

"What am I gonna do?" I asked myself, groaning into my hands.

"Welcome back y/n! How was your night?"

Hooty's voice came from beside me suddenly jolting me from my self pity.

I peaked through my hands at hooty who instantly got the memo that something was wrong, and I could tell, as his face fell almost immediately.

"What's wrong?" He asked twisting his head so he was now looking at me upside down, a worried expression creasing his features.

I sighed and stood up, "nothing hooty, thanks for asking though. " I mumbled, tiredly. "I'm just gonna go get some sleep now. Goodnight." I smiled, patting his head before walking up the stairs.

"Ok!" he said, his face brightening up again as his face spun around again and turned, disappearing into one of the nearby doors, probably to go talk to Eda and Luz.

"Oh- hey y/n! how was the party?" I turned around, and at the top of the stairs, king appears from around the corner, having just got out of the shower.

"It was fine, I'm gonna go get some rest though. all that partying has got me beat." I said, forcing  smile and stretching my arms above my head. "I'll see you in the morning." I said, not waiting for an answer and pushing the door to mine and Luz's shared room, open.

After about an hour I was in my pyjamas, and Luz was sleeping soundly on the other side of the room.

Well- if you count snoring to be 'soundly'.

I sighed, flopping on my back and looking up at the ceiling after ages of tossing and turning.

Finally I gave up, sitting straight up, I get out of my sleeping bag and walk over to the window, creaking it open, I swing my legs over the ledge and lean against the window frame, my bear feet dangling over the edge of the window, the cool night air hitting my skin, making me shiver.
