Chapter Twelve : Love

"Rita, you and Yvette fucked, and Katie, you, and I almost had a threesome yesterday. That seems a little fast."

"Sorry, I do move kinda fast."

"Babe, it's okay. Everyone loves you for it." Katie comforts, and hugs Rita.

"Again, we're sorry we walked in on you two." Yvette apologizes.

"Eh, it's nothing. Apparently a lot of people see me naked." Rita says still hurt.

"Look, Rita I didn't mean it like that." Terra says trying to make it better, only making it worse.

"Yes, you did. You said it that way."

"I'm sorry. I didn't mean to offend you. Rita I'd do anything to prove it, I'd do anything to protect you from harm, do you really think I'd try to harm you?"

"Rita, I'm pretty sure she means it. She did almost go through with your cover up plan, until you two came out."

"Fine, you're probably right."

"I know I'm right."

"I love you."

"I love you, too."

Yvette starts fake gagging because of how lovey-dovey they're being.

Tessa slaps Yvette's arm lightly, "Come on. I think it's sweet."

"Well, you don't love her."

Terra's jaw drops, "You still love her?"

"No- Terra."

"Stop. Just stop." Katie defends.

Terra storms off into the guest room.

"Rita, you deal with this. I'll go with Terra."

Katie walks away, into the bedroom with Terra.

"You still love me?! Yvette what the fuck, man? You're with Terra now, you can't just rebound off Terra and still love me."

"I told you both, I still love you. You guys just ignored it."

"We didn't ignore it, we didn't think you still loved me."

"Except you knew."

"No, I didn't. Don't just assume I knew that."

"I held your hand ... or I tried to hold your hand during the interview, but you played it off and tried to leave as fast as you could."

"I only did that because ... I didn't wanna do something I'd regret. I'm with Katie and you know it. We hooked up once, I'm sorry that the girl I've been waiting for since we met finally loves me the way I've loved her for years and I don't wanna give that up. I'm in love with her, and I've been in love with her for a long time. You need to let 'us' go. Please. For all of us, including the girl you've officially fucked and fucked up."

"You know I can't just let you go. If I let you go, I'll be falling into an infinite pit of hell."

"That wasn't a choice. You have to let 'us' go. I know it takes time but, give it up. I have to go check on Terra, I expect you to apologize if she ever comes out."

Rita walks into the bedroom with Katie and Terra. Terra is laying with her head on Katie's lap, crying out her feelings.

"How did things go with 'you know who'?" Katie asks.

"Excuse me for saying this but, fuck her. I care more about Tessa than 'you know who'."

"Terra, it's okay. She's not ... she's just ... I don't even know." Katie loses herself.

"You can't be mad, you're in a famous lesbian's bedroom with her girlfriend while being comforted."

"I'm not mad ... I'm just disappointed. Come on, we just fucked on this bed and she doesn't even like me, she loves you." She says pointing at Rita.

"I'm sorry ... I'm very sorry." Rita says genuinely feeling sorry.

"It's not your fault ... I mean, it technically is your fault but I don't blame you."

"You need to go back out there."

"I can't-"

"She has something she needs to say to you."

"Fine. I'll go."

"We'll be right behind you."

"Thanks, but if she has something to say ... I think it's best if it's just between her and I."

"We understand."

Terra walks out and shuts the door then turns to Yvette.

Katie looks at Rita and asks, "We're totally gonna listen aren't we?"

"Yup."

They put their heads to the door, and listen in to Tessa's conversation.

Terra starts off with, "So what do you have to say for yourself?"

"Terra ... I'm sorry. It's just ... I've never had anyone. There was no one I've felt a connection with, no one I could come out to. When I came out to Rita, I felt unconditional love for her because she was the first person I felt comfortable telling. I didn't even tell my family, or my friends. I just came out on camera with her, and I know the whole situation is crazy and stupid but can you please forgive me?"

"You told me you love another girl. After we just fucked. That's kinda hard to get over, so I don't know if I can forgive you, but I can still be with you."

"Thank you."

They can hear the sound of their lips smacking together.

Yvette mutters in excitement, "I love you."

"I love you, too."

We return with Katie and Rita on the door and they both stand up, still standing in front of the door.

"Wow." Rita says a little shocked.

"I know. Terra really loves her."

"I just can't believe we just eavesdropped on her. I knew she loved Yvette."

"What? How'd you know?"

"It's all in the eyes. A girl's eyes gets bigger and they shine more around someone they love."

Katie starts standing on her tippy toes, and starts staring.

"What are you doing?"

"Nothing." She says as she gets back on her feet.

"You were looking at my eyes, weren't you?"

"Maybe."

"Well, you don't need my eyes to tell you that. I can tell you myself."

"Then prove it." Katie says as she wraps her arms around Rita's neck.

"I love you, Katie Stevens."

"I love you, too."

Rita kisses Katie as she finishes her sentence.

The door opens, and Terra says, "Sorry, I hope we didn't interrupt anything."

Yvette groans, "Not again."

"Hey, no. It's not what you think. We only kissed." Rita explains.

"Yeah, we were having a romantic moment." Katie explains as she glances back to Rita's eyes.

"Did you two work things out?"

"Yeah, I think it's gonna be better, now." Terra says as she grabs Yvette's hand.
