Even Worse Influences: A Home Movies Fan Episode

Chapter 1: Just A Normal Get Together.

Brendon was sitting in his basement, casually thinking of what his next movie would be. He had been struggling with writer's block the past few days, leaving his movies to be rather bland and lacking anything exciting. Hopeful, Brendon turned to the internet for inspiration. He went digging through sites like Google, but couldn't find any good source material. 

"And I thought the internet was supposed to HELP people..." He moaned slamming his head on the desk. "Brendon!" A familiar voice called out, it was Melissa. She and Jason came over for today's shooting, or in recent cases, just Brendon complaining about how he was out of ideas and needed help. "Well, guys. I was just looking for ideas via the computer here, but so far I haven't found anything." Brendon said giving a thumbs down. Melissa and Jason were clearly disappointed, but knew that they'd think of something that would be "film worthy." 

"You know, Brendon. I filmed something that might work." Jason said pulling out a cassette tape. He slipped it into the downstairs VCR and let the video play. Brendon and Melissa sported eager faces, hoping and praying that they'd finally get some good source material. But instead... It was just a lame video of a ladybug crawling around on a sunflower. "I know it isn't much, but Brendon would know how to make it work." Jason said ejecting the tape. Brendon facepalmed in embarrassment, he appreciated his friend's effort, but he knew there was no way that people would find a bug that exciting. "Let's try the internet again." Melissa piped up getting out of her beanbag chair. The trio walked over to the computer once more, where Brendon searched "Best Videos For Upcoming Filmmakers." and was flooded by what seemed like a million options. 

That is....until they found ONE video in particular....
