Chapter 3

Devin kept looking at Elijah as he stood rooted in fear. He didn't know what to do as fear took over the very important part of his brain that allowed him to think. So he just stood and looked at the man who turned him into a vampire after killing his boyfriend.

Elijah watched Devin expecting him to answer his question but didn't get any response just a look which he knew too well. He didn't know why the boy was scared. He took a step forward and Devin moved backwards fear gulping him.

He was about to take another step but Derek interrupted him by calling his name and rushing down to meet him.
He kissed Elijah on the lips. Devin immediately feared for his friend.

" Get away from him Derek, you have no idea who he is," Devin practically screamed.

Derek looked at him confused,
" This is Elijah my boyfriend. Why should I get away from him?"

" What? You don't understand Derek. He's bad, get away from him," Devin continued in panic slowly walking up to them in hopes of getting Derek out of his hold and running away.

" What are you talking about. He's a good guy," Derek replied getting more confused at his friends behaviour.

" He's a vampire Derek and he's dangerous!" Devin screamed and this time Derek was surprised. How did he know about Elijah been a vampire.

" How do you know about that?" Derek asked with seriousness in his voice.

Elijah didn't know what to make of the situation because he had never had any encounter with Devin before or that's what he thought. He had no idea how he knew he was a vampire.

" Because he turned me and made me kill Daniel," Devin said as tears welled up in his eyes.

" What?!" Derek answered in shock. Elijah just stood and watch as slowly he started recalling. He didn't make any move he just watched Devin spiral down all he was thinking about was what Derek will do if he confirms it.

Derek watched his friend breakdown in tears, he felt sorry for him. He rushed to him and hugged him. He tried comforting him but the grief and pain only magnified and it didn't help that he was a vampire.

" Is that true Elijah?" Derek turned to him and asked. Every trace of emotion leaving his face. Elijah puts him hands inside his pants pocket and looked his lover in the eyes and answered.

" I believe you know the truth already. There is nothing to hide."

Derek nodded his head. He knew what Elijah was trying to do. He helped Devin to his feet and started for his room. He knew Elijah did it but he's not sure why he didn't recognize Devin from the start.

When he got to Elijah he paused and looked at him anger and disappointment pulling in his eyes because even at this point he felt like Elijah didn't trust him,
" When I get back you'll tell me everything and don't even for a second think about waving it off because that will only make me madder. You're lucky I love you."

He left him and went to his room to help his friend grief. He will have to deal with Elijah later.

" Jacob Hale get back here I am talking to you," Peter yelled after Jake who was walking to the door ignoring him. He was almost regretting coming back from the gym, if he knew he was going to face this he wouldn't have come back by now. He opened the door but it slammed back and locked itself. He turned and faced his father his patience slowly thinning. He hadn't spoken to his father for the past three days and he knew that he would soon be fed up with his attitude and it seemed like its already happening because Peter was mad.
