Chapter 6

" Get inside Derek," Karen said.

" What? I'm not going anywhere," Derek shook his head but Karen wasn't having it.

" I said getting inside Derek, now!" She commanded in a fierce tone that left no room for disobedience.

" Listen to your mother Derek," Peter said and Derek turned around and entered inside locking the door in place. He started pacing around in the living room. He started wondering why he didn't do the opposite of what his mother said because that was what was on his mind but for some unknown reason he felt the urge to obey her at all cost.

He heard screams and things breaking which made him even more restless. After awhile he stopped hearing noises. That was the final straw for him he rushed to the door and unlocked it and came face to face with Elijah.

" Elijah!" He rushed to him and hugged him. Elijah did the same as well. He felt relieved hugging him and so he buried his nose deep into his neck to breathe his soothing scent and for the first time he didn't feel the urge to bite into Derek's neck. It made him happy.

Derek pulled away from him and looked out to see if his parent were okay and they were more than okay. All around them laid the lifeless body of vampires, ranging from the dismembered ones to the obliterated ones.

Derek was surprised at what he saw and was lucky enough to see the claws on his mother's fingers retract. He looked at her shocked. She looked at him as well but she wasn't all surprised herself.

Derek slowly descended from the balcony and walked up to her.
" What are you?" He asked when he got close to her.

Peter who was standing behind her looked at his son and sighed.

" She's a werewolf and from the look of things. She must have hidden it pretty well from you," a voice interrupted Karen as she was about to speak.

Derek looked behind Karen and standing in blacks were a man and a woman. They seem to have appeared out of nowhere.

It alarmed Elijah and soon he was standing beside Derek in full protection mode.

Karen and Peter turned to face them and a large frown took over their faces.

" Elijah take Derek away from here and keep him safe," Karen ordered. Elijah moved to hold Derek but he stopped him.

" What do you mean by that? I would not just be..." Derek was saying but was stopped with a sleeping spell. Elijah caught him mid fall.

" Take him away from here and keep him safe. When he wakes tell him it's gonna be alright. I hate to say this but I'm trusting you to keep him safe because you love him," Peter told Elijah who nodded and carried Derek up in his arms. He looked at the new guests then vamped away.

" A Mikaelson. Who would have known. Even after trying all this years to keep him away from them they ended up been together. Most be painful right?" The man said.

" Shut up Noah. What do you want?" Peter glared at him.

" Ugh! That's no way to welcome your brother now, is it?" Noah said with a shit eating grin.

Jake was still scrolling through his phone when his nose caught a particular scent. One that belongs to a person that he's been dying to kill. The anger in him slowly started boiling up to a dangerous level as he lay in wait for them.

Klaus entered the abattoir with a dark cloud over his head. He was angry at the fact that Derek was mad at him but that wasn't entirely the main reason. It was the fact that Derek was alive all the while and he thought he died. He was angry that he didn't know and no one told him. He kind of deserved the last part anyway.
