{Dylan's POV}
Principal Collins told me that we got a new student and since I have straight A's he wanted me to be the one to show the new kid around. I wasn't exactly sure if it was a girl or guy but I guess I'd find out soon. It was about half an hour until school started and I had just gotten there. I went to the door and Principal Collins let me in. We waited about 5 minutes and we heard a car pull up. We walked to the front doors and stared walking outside. I saw someone step out of the car. She was the most beautiful girl I had ever seen! She had dark brown hair with caramel highlights and brown eyes that I instantly got lost in. I tried to act cool even though I was freaking out in the inside. Principal Collins and I got up to her and a woman who I figured was her mom. She was looking at me but she didn't seem too interested.
"crap!"
oh my god did I just say that?!
"Dylan, are you alright?" Principal Collins asked.
"oh uh yeah sorry, I'm fine" I can not believe I just said that out loud. I guess I wanted her to like me but I'm not sure why. I haven't even met her yet. I decided to introduce myself as Principal Collins and her mom were talking.
"Hey I'm Dylan!" I said. I probably said that a little too enthusiastically.
"Hi, my name is Celyna." she was really shy and didn't really make eye contact at all. I probably scared her off by yelling crap as soon as I walked up to her. We stood there awkwardly, silently.
{Celyna's POV}
He walked up to my mom and I and yelled "crap!" I guess the makeup didn't help with the whole first impression thing. He introduced himself and I just couldn't bring myself to look up at him. I though I had gotten over this self confidence thing but I guess when It comes down to it I really haven't.
{Danielle's POV}
Dylan seemed nice but he seemed scared or upset or something. I've kind of given up trying to read teenager's emotions. I was talking to Mr. Collins and I saw Dylan try to talk to Celyna but she seemed self conscious again. I feel for her, I do but I wish she would see how amazing and beautiful she is. I hope she and Dylan become friends, she could use at least one because I know how hard it is for her to make friends.
{Dylan's POV}
Celyna's mom and Principal Collins finished talking. Celyna's mom said bye to her, hugged her and left. Principal Collins pulled me aside for a minute and told me to be nice and not pushy because of her confidence level and she is really shy. I told him I would and he went into the building.
"Shall we?" I said in a goofy voice trying to make her laugh. It worked! She laughed!
"Okay....let's go!" she said in between breaths. I took her books from her and held the door open for her.
