I went upstairs to Lilly. She sat on the bed. She looked so sad. But that wasn't the point she was scared. Terrified. OF ME. I hated even the thought of that but right now it was a reality. I sat next to her. I rubbed her back as a way to comfort her. I felt her shudder. Then I reluctantly pulled away. I just sat with her. "Why did you try to run away from me,from us my darling?" I asked. I tried my best to be calm. "I just want to go home." she said. She said it very quiet and softly. That I could barely hear her. "You are home though my love." I told her. I left. I at least wanted her to have some peace.
