Chapter 3: Looking back

*Flashback*
"Luke is leaving to go live with our grandparents" I remember Phoenix saying to me. Tears running down my face as I hug her.
"I wanted to tell you so it wouldn't hurt so much when Luke did" she said opening the door for Luke. His face swollen from crying and his shirt covered with Maggie's makeup and tears (Maggir is Phoenix and Luke's older sister) He sits down on Phoenix's bed next to me, "Im sorry... Ariel" Lukes words made my heart sink, words form all that came out was tears.
"Can I kiss you?" Luke asked grabbing my hand, I wanted to say no cause it will hurt more when he leaves
"Yes" my voice weak, Luke leans over putthing his hand on my cheek with his other hand moving the hair from in front of my face, putting his lips to mine. He stopped putting his head to mine and whispered "I love you" he kiss my forehead and got up walking out the door. I left the room shortly after my face stained with tears I need to get my shit together and go comfort Phoenix. This is probably harder on her since just a month earlier Shawn left her on their wedding day. Phoenix is sobbing I walk over just hold her. About a year past Luke and I really didn't talk anymore neither did him and Phoenix that killed her but she had me to look after now, Luke took a bad path and had to lay in the bed he made. We all missed him so much. But Phoenix and I soon moved out really didn't think about Luke.
*Flashback end*
Till now. "We need to go to Ohio, they brought Luke to the hospital out there cause thats where we all are" Phoenix choked out. Those words hit me hard in a moment I replied "Then we will leave today, I will go order the plane tickets now" pulling out my phone.
"Okay" Phoenix said picking herself up. The plane leaves in 2 hours, not sure how long we are staying up there. I should go tell Cameron what's going on.

Phoenix Pov:
I can't believe Luke was shot. If he would have just stayed home none of this would have happen. He is so dumb but damnit im not going to lose him again. Then I hear a faint sound from Ariel's room, oh my god she shouldn't be alone if she could have relapse. I run upstairs and she's sitting on her bed crying and looking at pictures.
"He's going to be okay.." I say hugging my best friend
"I hope so"
"Have you informed Cam on whats going on?"
"No" she said real quick
"Come on I will go with you" I said grabbing her hand. Walking up to the boy's apartment. Nash opens the door and hugs me really tight.

Cameron Pov:
The girls just showed up, Nash didn't tell me anything but I knew it was bad.
"Baby, you been crying are you okay?" I said running to her
"Yes im fine" she won't look at me.
"Phoenix what happen" I looked at her confused. Phoenix walked over from Nash. She also had been crying a lot.
"My little brother Luke had been shot" her eyes started watering "and we are leaving later to go see him in the hospital"
"I wanna come" Nash yelled
"No Nash"
"You need me" he looked at Phoenix
"Just let him come if he buys his ticket!" Ariel angrily said with her head in her hands.
"Fine, well hurry up we need to get to the airport" Phoenix said. Should I say something, is it really ny place im not related or with Phoenix but where does Ariel come into this? Oh no does she love me? No shes just close to the family. I hear my name called but I can't stop thinking.
"CAMERON!!!" Ariel screames, she is so mad but sad it makes no sense.
"Im sorry, yes?" I look at her
"I don't know how long we will be gone but I love you and will keep you updated" she said hugging me. I lean down to kiss her "I love you too" they left, Nash had packed and ordered his ticket. They are gone now, Areil left me their key to take mail in and check on her cat Lucifer. I waited an hour then did the unthinkable went into Ariel's room and looked through her stuff, I just needed to know if Luke meant anything to her. There on her bed a box.. I see pictures of her and Luke even Phoenix. She dated Luke.... Does she still have feelings for him? Or just upset that he may die? Ariel loved Luke I hope it's loved and she still doesn't. My phone goes off it's a text from Ariel.

Hey baby, we just got on the plane I will call you if its not to late.
Love you.
To: Babygirl
Call if its late so I know you're safe.
Why am I worrying the past is the past for the reason.

Ariel Pov:
The flight went by fast I slept most of it. Cause thinking about Luke pained me so much. Phoenix had to be worse off than me but she has Nash. Having Cameron come would have made things worse for the family. I put my headphones in turning my music on. Before I knew it the plane landed, when we got off Maggie and the twins were waiting for us. The twins ran to me and Phoenix we pickes them up. Then I seen Maggie's eyes look at Nash,taping Phoenix to look.
"Maggie this is Nash my boyfriend" Phoenix said pulling Nash over
"Hi nice to meet you" Nash shaking her hand I walk over
"Maggie I've missed you so" hugging her. We walk out to Maggie's car and drice to the hospital. My heart raced as we pulled up. I looked at Phoenix with fear in my eyes she grabbed my hand. After cheaking in only 3 at a time, me and Phoenix go in dragging Nash in with us. Seeing him motionless almost lifeless broke a part of me. Phoenix lead down and kissed his forehead "it's going to be okay little bro" she whispered to him. He's hooked up to so many machines. Phoenix left with Nash to talk to the doctors... Why would she leave me alone. I sit next to Luke and grab his hand laying my head on it. Really quite I speak hoping he can hear my words.
"Luke you dumbass I knew this would happen why didn't you just stay with me at home?..."
"I hope you can hear me. I love you... Please make it through this" his hand tighten around mine tears runnung down my face I look up he still looks lifeless.
"Nurse!!" I scream. A nurse running in "whats wrong?"
"I was holding his hand talking and he tightenes his hand" the nurse comes and checks all the stuff "his heart started beating faster and everything look but he still can't breath on his own, if surgery gies well enough I think he will make it" the nurse said with a smile. I hug Phoenix.
"What did you say to him?"
"Nothing just callrd him a dumbass and when you make it im kicking your ass" I said looking at Luke lay there.
"Wow" I know she didn't believe me. Shit I nees to call Cam. Im alone now so I will call him. Walking into the bathroom.
Ring ring
"Hey sorry we came straight to the hospital" I said when Cam picked up
"It's fine baby, how is Luke" he said with a sleepy voice
"Good they said if surgery goes well he will be fine"
"Great. I miss you"
"I miss you too Cameron"
"You love me right?"
"Yes of course" thats confused me a little bit
"Awesome i love you"
"I love you too" when I said that I heard a noise
"Babe I gotta go I heat something in Luke's room, check on Lucifer send a pic i miss him." I hang up. Opening the door Luke is awake eating jello his eyes went wide when he saw me.
"Ariel?" he said as clear as day
"Yeah.. Your awake" im so confused
"Yeah not sure how but I am" I walked over and sat in the chair next to him
"I thought your voice was just in my head" he confessed.
"Phoenix and I got on a plane as soon as we got the call" I said
"Can you get Phoenix?"
"Of course" when I got up he grabbed my arm, looking back at him
"I love you too" nothing came out of my mouth I just walked away. Phoenix came in
"Luke you're awake?" hugging him
"Hi big sis i miseed you" he pleaded to her
"What happen? Why were you shot?"
"Im a dumbass as Ariel puts it" Phoenix just looks over at me I look at the chiling
"Luke tell me"
"Dont worry about it im fine now thats what matters" he said sitting up to hug her he makes a noise
"Fine, where is the bullet?"
"Between my rip and spin..surgery is getting it out in time before I can't walk anymore.. But it's a risky surgery"
"Luke" Phoenix said just hugging her brother
"Can I move in with you in LA?.. If I make it"
"I need to talk to Ariel, I live with her remember" Phoenix motions me to go to the hall. This can't be happening I finally get life together then this happens. Fuck. Phoenix comes out to the hall, me and Nash are standing there waiting for her. Nash big blue eyes look up from the floor "well babe?" he said hugging her.
"Luke wants to move in with me"
"Oh...." he said looking over at me
"Guess you know about me and Luke?"
"Yeah..." Nash said.
