"Oh! You're awake, good. My name is Alma Madrigal, I found you and your father passed out by the border."
<><><><><><><><><><><><><><><>
"Umm... Olá Senhora, meu nome é Mariposa, but you can call me Mari. Where is my Papai?"
"Your padre is just fine Mariposa, he's in the next room over. Where are you two from? I've never heard your accent before."
"We were from a small town at the border of Brazil, Senhora."
"No need for formalities. Please, just call me Mama Alma. You must be so hungry, come eat to regain your strength."
I was just about to reject her kind offer, but my own stomach interrupted me. "O-of course Senh- M-Mama Alma."
~~~
Man, whoever made those Huevos Pericos are way better than anything I could ever make. Estou cheio! I feel like I could run a whole marathon.
"Mariposa, could you come here for a moment? I want you to meet mis hijas."
As I walked into the large open room, a strong gust of wind almost tirou-me do chão. Two beautiful girls, about my age, stood in front of us.
"These are my daughters, Julieta and Pepa." She motioned to each of them independently, and Pepa seemed to be the cause of the violent winds.
"Pepa querida, you're starting to form a cloud." She quickly fanned the nearly-formed cloud from upon her strawberry-colored hair.
"O-Olá, meu nome é Mariposa. You can call me Mari though."
"Julieta, where is Brunito? He wasn't in his room." "Don't worry Mami, he's probably just out doing a reading for someone."
"Seguro espero eso..."
~~~
Those girls are really nice! Julieta is a bit tímida and Pepa is... uma pouco demais. I think I made friends with them though!
I wonder who Mama Alma was talking about when she mentioned 'Brunito'... Anyways, I should probably check on Papai.
~~~
He's not doing too much better than when we got here... um pouco pior, na verdade. Either way, I think Julieta wants to show me around town.
"U-Um, didn't you say you wanted to show me around earlier?"Droga, why did I have to stutter?
"Oh, o-oh course M-Mariposa!" Guess I'm not the only one here who does.
"Please call me Mari." "Oh, okay, then let's go Mari." She took me by the hand and almost dragged me outside.
"Bienvenida a Encanto!"
