Saturday morning,
Johnny went downstairs and into the kitchen where his parents were talking and sat at the island.
"Hey, you ok?" His mom, Meredith, asked as he hugged her
"Yeah. I just wanted to talk to you both about something." Johnny said as he sat at the island
"What is it?" His dad, Dale, asked
"Well... a couple of months ago, I told you I stayed at a friend's house after school. Well, I lied."
"So where were you? Are you in trouble or something?" Dale asked
"No. I'm not telling you I'm doing drugs or something. Well, I was at a party with Hayden and Asher. And I met this girl..."
His parents looked at each other
"Go on." Meredith said
"...well, she's pregnant. And I'm the dad." Johnny said
Dale sighed as he ran his hands across his face and Meredith looked down at the floor
"Does she know what she wants to do?"
"She wants to keep it. She said it's up to me if I wanna be involved or not." Johnny told them
"And do you?" Dale asked
"Yeah, course I do. It's my baby."
"Well, good. You should take responsibility for this." Meredith said
"So... you're not mad?" Johnny asked
"No. We're not happy about this though, so don't think we are."
"I know. Thanks..." Johnny said
"Right... so we'll have to tell your sisters at some point soon. And... this girl. What's her name?" Dale asked
"Annie."
"And are you and her dating?"
"No. It was just a hook up. We've known each other for years, but barely talked until the party. We... hung out a few days after, but didn't talk again until a few days ago." Johnny told them before the doorbell rang
"I'll get it." Dale said as he got off the stool
Meredith walked over and hugged Johnny
"We love you." She told him as she kissed his head
"Johnny, get out here!" Dale called
Johnny and his mom left the kitchen and saw Annie stood in the living room, crying
"Hey, what is it?" Johnny asked as he hugged her
"My parents... they kicked me out." Annie cried
"Shit... its gonna be ok. Sit down." Johnny said, sitting her down on the sofa "I'm gonna go get you a glass of water ok?"
Annie nodded as he stood up. Johnny went to the kitchen and his mom comforted her
"Right..." Dale said as he followed Johnny "She can stay here until she sorts things out with her parents."
"What if she doesn't sort things out?" Johnny asked as he poured Annie a glass of water
"They probably just need a couple of days to figure stuff out. If they still haven't talked to here by the end of the week, then me and your mom will talk to them."
"And what if they still don't wanna know?"
"Then... I guess she's staying for good. Just go take her water in." Dale said
Johnny picked up the glass of water and went back into the living room as his mom walked into the kitchen

Johnny opened his bedroom door and went inside, followed by Annie
"You can stay in my room while you're here." He said
"Thanks."
Johnny quickly picked up a couple of pairs of dirty boxers off the floor and hid them behind his back
Annie sat on the edge of the bed
"Is this just a way to get into my pants?" She joked
"What? No! No, of course not!" Johnny said quickly
"Relax. I'm joking."
Johnny awkwardly smiled
"I'm gonna be sleeping on the sofa." He said
"You don't mind?"
"No. Of course I don't." Johnny said
"Feel kinda bad. Just kicking you out of your bed?" Annie said
"Dont. You're not kicking me out. And anyway... my older sister, Maddie, goes back to college in a couple of weeks. If you're still here by then, you can take her room or I can..."
Annie opened the side drawer
"No, dont-!" Johnny said
Annie looked down at the bottle of lube, box of tissues and a fleshlight in the drawer.
"You have a fleshlight?" She asked
"Yeah. Asher got it for me for my birthday. I've never used it."
"Never?" Annie asked with a raised eyebrow
"Maybe once, to see how it feels." Johnny said and they both laughed
"Dont get embarrassed. It's not like I haven't got 3 different sized dildos at home." Annie joked and Johnny laughed nervously "Oh fuck... I haven't even got any clothes."
"Dont worry about it. My sisters have stuff you can borrow while you're here."
"Do they know? About me and the baby?"
"No. I told my parents literally just before you came here. My sisters are out, I thought it was the best time I could tell me parents." Johnny told her "We're probably gonna tell them later. And... I'm gonna start looking for a job tomorrow to support you and the baby. I don't care what it is, even if I have to drop out of school."
"No, dont drop out!" Annie told him
Johnny smiled, "Ok... I won't."
"I've got a baby scan on Wednesday afterschool... do you wanna... do you wanna come?"
"Yes! Yeah, of course I do." Johnny said quickly
"Great, I can drive us." Annie said
"Ok... well, uh... there's a phone charger on my desk. And you can use my laptop for anything if you want."
"Thanks. Should I avoid your search history?" She joked
"Yeah you probably should." Johnny laughed "If you want anything to eat or drink, you can just help yourself."
"Thanks. For everything."
Johnny smiled, "No problem."
Annie watched him leave the room, shutting the door after her.
She looked around Johnny's room before she laid down.
