By the end of our twelve days, I was exhausted. Spencer tried to help, but he didn't really know how. The day we went back to work was difficult, not only from the exhaustion, but also from the fact that we were leaving out baby with Meredith and Mark.
"She'll be just fine! We'll take good care of her." Meredith told me.
"Ok, there are clean bottles in the cabinet, diapers on the shelf in the nursery-"
"It'll be fine. Go! Your going to be late." I nodded. "Where is your husband?"
"I'm not sure...I think he had a doctor's appointment this morning."

I tapped my foot, my sun glasses over my eyes and my head down. I hadn't told Marianne about the headaches. I didn't want to worry her. She's preoccupied with Riley as much as it is. I was having these hallucinations of the weirdest things. A gate clinking, blowing in the wind, a dog hobbling along on three legs in a Latino neighborhood. A nurse approached me.
'We're almost ready for you, Dr. Reid. Just a few questions. Are you having one of your headaches right now?" I took my sunglasses off, squinting as the bright lights it my eyes.
"Yeah, I am."
'How long have you had it?"
'Um...not really that long.I don't know." I told her.
"Can you be more specific?"
"Um...maybe two days?"
'And the lights hurt your eyes."
"mhm."
"Any hallucinations?"
"No." I said. I suddenly saw a brief image of a man with a dove on his hand, flapping wildly.
~~~I had images of a cross as I was placed in the MRI machine. There were distorted voices, and skulls, The gate again, a bowl that was stained with blood. The head was being ripped off of the dove and blood splattered onto a chalk circle that was drawn on the floor. I clenched the fabric of my hospital gown. I saw a dead man with shells over his eyes and mouth.
~~~Marianne~~~
I smiled as I walked into the building. I was so happy to be back. I'm still worried about Riley, but I'm sure she'll be fine.
"Hey, look who it is!" Morgan said.
"Hello! Hello!" Garcia hugged me. "OH, you have no idea how happy I am to be back."
"How's Riley?" Prentiss asked.
"She's great! She's with my sister and brother-in-law back at the apartment." Hotch came out.
'Welcome back, Marianne. This is Ashley Seaver." A blond girl shook my hand.
"It's nice to meet you."
"Hi, I'm Marianne Reid. I just got back from maternity leave."
"Really? Congratulations!"
'Thanks!"
~~~
"Hey, you ok?" Prentiss asked as Spencer came into the round table room.
"Yeah, why?"
"You're never late."
'Have we started the briefing yet?" He questioned. Something was weird about him.
