Now everybody was at school anticipating lunch. After numerous times looking at the clock, the bell had finally rung. Allyssa arrived first because she just got back from Sydney, then Alaysha and Brooklyn walked with each other to the table, and then Zach and Kendall were holding hands on their way to the table.
"Hey I'm surprised you made it to school on time," said Kendall letting go of Zach's hand and setting her stuff down
"Yeah me too," said Allyssa surprised
"Why?" asked Alaysha stuffing her face sushi with her chopsticks
"Well I was assuming Sydney would be all sad and depressed, but she wasn't. She was perfectly fine and was nothing like what Zach said in the group chat."
"That's weird. Did she leave for school with you?" asked Zach to Allyssa
"Yea, speaking of, where is she?" asked Allyssa looking around the lunchroom
"I don't know. I had her in my 3rd hour and she wasn't there." Brooklyn said eating a corn dog with chips
"I'll try calling her," said Zach leaving the table
"Why would Sydney lie about going to school?" asked Brooklyn
"Maybe she didn't want to show people that she was grieving and wanted to lie. I mean she would get a lot of attention at school because of Rio, so I don't blame her for not coming." Alaysha said, finishing her last bite.
"She could've just said that," said Kendall looking at Zach
Zach came back to the table looking like he wanted to fight somebody.
"What's wrong?" Allyssa asked still not touching her mac and cheese
"She's in the county jail. She turned herself in." Zach said about to make a phone call
"Wait, what!!" said Alaysha and Kendall
"How'd she turn herself in if she didn't even do anything?" asked Allyssa
"Do you think she did it herself, or do you think it might have been that crazy psycho?" asked Brooklyn
"Should we leave and go get her or what?" asked Kendall
Zach came back to the table and said "You guys stay here and finish school. I'm going to see what the hell's going on and you guys can meet us at the house."
"Ugh, I can't. I have a volleyball game tonight, I might come over an hour or 2 later because it's an away game."
"That's fine," said Zach kissing Kendall's forehead and leaving the back doors of the lunchroom
"Now what?" asked Alaysha
"Now, I have to go and meet up with Hayden, catch you guys later" asked Brooklyn
"Sure, I guess," said Alaysha confused, still not knowing who Hayden is.
