Hearts of Destiny Chapter 2: Missing You

A/N: Hey guys it's Legendary_Hero1 here and welcome back to a new chapter of Kingdom Hearts II: Hearts of Destiny! Thank you all so much for your time and patience reading the first chapter of my story! Anyways I've been really busy lately, but I will continue writing more chapters as soon as I can and will tend to update the story with more chapters on a weekly basis if possible depending on how much more popular it gets! For now though, I hope you all enjoy the second chapter of this amazing journey with Sora, Yuffie, and all of his friends and I appreciate all the love and support for this story on the Kingdom Hearts fanfiction archive! HoD Chapter 2: Missing You

(Hollow Bastion - Merlin's House - With Yuffie, Aerith, Cid, and Merlin)

Yuffie, Aerith, Cid, and Merlin had all been waiting for Sora, Leon, Donald, and Goofy's return from the Bailey. Yuffie was sitting on the bed, while Aerith and Merlin were near Cid as he continued typing on the computer to figure out how to improve the town's defense mechanism more better and secure. "They've been out for quite some time now, huh?" Aerith exclaimed to Cid.

"Eh, I'm sure they're fine and Leon probably decided to give them a longer tour than he was expecting to today." He replied.

"But.." Yuffie began to say with a worried look. "What if they're not fine and something bad happened to them?" 'What if something bad happened to Sora and he's not okay when he gets back after all?'

"Well, as Sora had told you before he left to go to the Bailey with Leon. He did say he could take care of himself, especially since he has Donald and Goofy with him at all times, so I think we should take his word for granted and leave them to it." Merlin explained. "After all I did give him his magic back, so even with that he should be able to handle himself more as well."

"Yeah you're right.." Yuffie said. "But still.. I don't know.. Something in my heart is telling me otherwise that he's not okay and he may be in danger out there with Leon, Donald, and Goofy.." She looked down at the ground. 'I really hope you're okay, Sora and that my heart tells me that I'm wrong..'

"Oh Yuffie.." Aerith went and sat next to hear on the bed and put a hand on her left shoulder. "You really like and care about Sora, a lot huh?"

"I do.." She replied. "Ever since Leon and I first encountered him in Traverse Town in front of Cid's shop. And when I carried him to the Green Room and watched him sleep peacefully as Leon and I protected him from the Heartless." She hugged Aerith softly. "When we had told him about the keyblade and his ability to wield and defeat the Heartless with it to save the outside worlds, I just knew there was something special about him from the moment I saw him.."

"Well, we all understand your feelings toward him and how much you care about him. But he's always been focusing on finding his friends, especially Riku and the King who he's searching for again on his journey." Cid said. "Did he ever mention anything about Kairi to you again when you first encountered him in Hollow Bastion?"

"No. I hope she's safe back on his home Island though." Yuffie said sadly. "Besides Sora cares about her and probably shares the same feelings for her as she does for him.. After all I've seen the way he looks at her and the way she looked at him back a year ago in Traverse Town. It's obvious that he'll never share the same feelings I do for him and he doesn't deserve a girl like me and I'm okay with that." 'I wish I could say I am okay with his true feelings towards me, when I'm really not.' She thought.
