I failed to protect you

(Peirce pov)

I ran to Ein and he was still breathing, I put him in my back and I left the burning house and ran away from there. I don't know what cause the flames, but I have some thoughts on.

I put Ein right beside a tree, it was really cold, they were already snow. I didnt know what to do. I promised to Ein that nothing won't happen to him. And I let something happen. I didnt put my guard up. I was so busy always daydreaming of him instead defending him. I keep seeing him shaking a lot. I went closer and I hugged him, really tight. I didnt know what to do. That was when I drift of.

(Eins POV)

I woked up and I was being hugged by Peirce. I looked around and we were outside? I don't remember what happened before. I was blacked out. And why we were outside? Is so cold. I saw how Peirce was cold and didnt though for himself. He tried to keep me warm. I didnt want him to be cold too. He will get sick. I went to my wolf form and went to the city to find a hotel or something.

-a few hours later cause I suck-

(Still Ein POV)

I came back with some people who took Peirce and I also found a hotel. Was it luck? I don't even know anymore. All I cared is Peirce to be nice and warm. It did took him a few minutes to wake up. I didn't think of any and ran to him (still in would form) and started licking him. I just realized I just did. /#####/

Peirce: ngh, ugh, where are we?

Turns to human Ein: well, let's say I found people to help out a little, so I have to stay as my wolf form. Also, what happened?

Peirce started looking away and started lightly crying. I went to my wolf form and started making whimper, mostly works to stop people from crying.

Peirce: I failed. That's what happened.

Puts on a "no you didnt" face

Peirce: I did failed. I didn't protect you probably.

I went closer to Peirce and snuggled with him. Peirce hugged back and started crying more.

Peirce: if only I put my guard up then nothing would have happen.

I stayed with him and he let go of me and stood up. Some people came and asks questions and I stayed in my wolf form since, people will reconze me and will call the police, or something. Peirce answered questions and they left and bring food. Like not the animals from the place we were in, but like a nice meal! I thought we were gonna suver. I looked at Peirce and he looked a little interest in the food and I smiled at him.

Eins mind: Wait, Ein, don't think of him like that. Just because he loves you doesn't mean anything.
