his hands in his pockets, earphones plucked in his ears, body straight as he walks on the pavement.

indeed, he felt a bit chilly today as it was raining earlier.

he was minding his own business when his eyes caught a scene.

a girl crying.

he felt sympathetic but again, she's a stranger. brushing off the thoughts, he tried to assume she's having a bad day.

about three to four hours later, he went out again. though he felt a little lazy, he forced himself to walk again.

if it wasn't for the assignment, he wouldn't even bother to step out of his comfort zone, which is his room.

he's just glad that his working partner is his closest friend otherwise he wouldn't even have the motivation to complete it.

feeling the need to satisfy their hangout session, he made his way to the nearest convenience store.

grabbing a few chips and sodas, he went to the counter to pay. there's a girl in front of him. of course, he queued behind her.

" ah, darn it– i don't have enough– "

" i'll pay for hers too," he said and placed his items on the counter.

the girl looked at him in awe as he lets out his credit card.

" sir, you don't have to pay for me. i can take some– "

" it's okay. i paid for it already. " he returned, smiling as he passed her her bag.

from just the way he smiled at her, she wanted to cry. it's like a blue moon. it's been a while since she saw someone smile at her.

" have a great day, miss. " he continued again before walking out of the store.

and just like that, a tear fell.
