the air was breezing so gently. it's almost like a getaway for her.

her eyes travelled at the sight of a family laughing and playing around. the sight made her smile but it stung her.

oh, how she wishes to have that moment.

she used to have so. but it wasn't even a decade long. maybe up until she was six or something where everything turned downhill.

just the sight of a happy family is enough for her to imagine.

just then she felt a presence beside her. it's him.

" hello there, miss. " he greeted, smiling. " i hope i'm not being too uncomfortable. "

" no! no. of course not, " she replied, not being able to look at him in the eyes.

half of her felt shy, half of her are ashamed.

" it's a beautiful evening today, hm? " he said, sitting comfortably on the ground. " what a coincidence it is to meet you again. "

she stayed silent, not knowing what to respond. it's the lack of social interaction that made her so awkward.

" why are you bruised up? "

indeed, his eyes have been observing the visible purple and blue marks all around her skin. his action is nowhere near something inappropriate.

" oh? ah, i feel down the stairs... "

that's dumb. considering the number of bruises she has, falling down the stairs wouldn't do the trick.

" are you sure? that's a lot of bruises to be falling from a flight of stairs. "

that's what she thought too. she can be so dumb at times.

she nodded her head, not wanting to say stupid stuff again.

today should be a wonderful day. he was there to lift her mood. it may be temporary but let's just savour the peace.
