Note- Dodo 🦤 the bird not 'do do'.
-"Dodo?" You internally screeched inside your head as you intensely glared into his glowing crimson eyes that were reflected from the sun.
"Dodo? What do ya' mean, Dodo?" Ashley protectively snarled towards Bakugou, while taking a step back to look at the appearance of the blonde. Completely different aura from what she was expressing before.
"She's like a Dodo, with white feathers, probably flightless and shy." He smirked with the egoism glimpsing from his tongue.
"Izuku Midoriya." Mr Aizawa monotonically spoke, ignoring our little debate.
The boy with nourished bushy green hair, scuttled timidly as he reached the oval.
"That doesn't make any sense, what gives ya' the idea she's flightless." Ashley shot daggers into his bloodshot eyes, straining her neck considering she's 5'2.
"Well, I haven't seen her fly around, only her feathers." Bakugou established with a harsh, raspy voice considering he was trying to whisper.
"Tsk." Ashley clicked her tongue while baring her front teeth, clearly irritated since Bakugo stated something acceptable from what he's seen today.
"Plus I hope she dies one day too, like a dodo!" He sardonically directed towards Ashley, hoping it would cause a reaction.
It did.
Ashley's anger was aroused, opening her mouth while inhaling through the nose, demanding her lung to create orange juice bubbles, the bubbles travelled up her windpipe escaping her mouth, expanding to the size of Bakugo.
Exhaling through your nose and rolling your eyes, you didn't want to get in trouble again, subsequently, you place your left hand on her shoulder.
Startled, she loses her concentration which bursts the bubble with a small pop.
Ashley was extremely protective of you, like a mother towards her children. It didn't bother you since it helped your ass when it was something social, but moments like this was unnecessary.
Ashley's quirk is something quite interesting, she calls it 'bubble breather'. Her quirk can manipulate any liquid substance inside her body to be transferred into the bubble version of the liquid, travelling through the body, released through the mouth breathing from a third lung.
This third lung instead of transferring fresh air into your body while removing waste gases, it transfers any liquid she demands to be a bubble, then when it's required it can be released whenever she breathes through her nose with her mouth wide open then breathing out the bubbles.
These bubbles can expand and shrink once in the air, while collecting more elements making the bubble stronger; making it harder to break on the inside and out.
Although Ashley may be a loudmouth she isn't an egotism or an egotist, she talks very little about herself. You found out about her third lung when you were younger, it was a group project of 3 people the topic was to explain in depth about oneself's quirk.
"Huh, of course, he is. He's a quirk-less loser." Bakugou stated completely unfazed by the bubble.
Then glasses spoke, you weren't listening just zoning out while watching broccoli boy. He seemed stressed out as he stiffly rotated his shoulder back, suddenly pink stripes with white pieces shine on his right arm, moving his arm forward but just before the baseball is in the air the stripes disappear.
"46 meters." The tablet reads out loud.
Mr Aizawa explained how stupid it would be to allow Midoriya to be a hero in training when all he's gonna be is a liability, and that he could never become a hero.
Kinda heartbreaking for the boy, but who cares.
"I've returned your impractical quirk, take your final throw," Aizawa spoke with harshness. He sluggishly stepped away, around 10 meters to watch Midoriya from a far distance; waiting for the boy to take his final throw, applying a blue bottle of substance into his eyes. Supposably eye drops.
Midoriya eye's penetrated determination along with some adrenaline to prepare for what was about to happen.
Moving forward like before, except the pink stripes and shiny white pieces didn't appear. Was he gonna throw without his quirk, that was deemed to be impractical?
His face was strained by his teeth being clenched, as he focused hard on his situation. Deliberately waiting for the last second, he activates his quirk but only on one finger; the last finger to have contact with the baseball.
The ball directs into a region hardly perceivable, drawing many peoples breaths.
Midoriya faces Mr Aizawa constructing a fist with his right side. The boy's finger seemed severed and purple.
"You see, I'm still standing." Midoriya bit down on his bottom lip preventing himself from crying, although it was obvious he was in a lot of pain.
"This kid!" Mr Aizawa straightens up while grinning petrifyingly.
To the left-hand side of you, multiple cheers and praise were spewed out of their mouths.
"Finally, a hero-like record!" The girl with short brown hair expressed by exerting her arms upwards.
"His finger's swollen!" Glasses examined Midoriya while his forearm covered his eyes from the sun.
On the right-hand side of you, you heard Bakugou wheezing. Facing the boy, you realised he held a frustrated expression; his mouth was wide open with his eyebrows scrunched together.
Explosions erupt from his right hand, before leaping towards Midoriya.
"Hey! Tell me what's going on, Deku, you bastard!" Bakugo elevated his voice.
Midoriya was shocked by fear until the same grey bandages were wrapped around Bakugou.
"Why can't I break these?" Bakugo asked while trying to explode the scarf.
"They're weapons for capture, made of Carson fibres woven together with wire metal of a special alloy. I have dry eyes. " Aizawa explained while being nettled.
"Jeez... Don't keep making me use my Quirk over and over." Mr Aizawa gravelly told everyone.
Letting go of Bakugo and collecting his scarf around his neck.
"We're wasting time. Whoever's next, get ready." He flatly said.
Midoriya sceptically walk to the side making sure Bakugo wasn't gonna move.
He didn't.
People asked if Midoriya was alright, as you continued to study Bakugou's behaviour.
Bakugou jerked his head incandescent toward Midoriya's area.
"Sir, we've finished," Ashley commented to what Mr Aizawa last said.
"Okay, I'll quickly tell you the results." Mr Aizawa exhaled as if he was exhausted.
Everyone was tense, you didn't care why they were.
Pressing on a button, a blue screen with black writing appeared labelling our scores.
1. Y/n L/n.
Just as you expected, considering the only times you lost were people who had a specific quirk for that test. An example would be the short brown haired girl who got infinite on the tablet screen.
"And I was lying about the being expulsion part." Your mind went blank. "They were gonna expelled people?" You said inside your head, you didn't hear him announce that.
"I thought it was obvious, just motivation to make us try our best." The girl that came 2nd announced to the class. This girl has black hair in a ponytail, she didn't catch your attention before.
Mr Aizawa walked over to Midoriya and explained how tomorrow is gonna be even more rigorous and that he should visit Recovery Girl.
