Chapter 4-Jake!

<Dream POV>

Why is Jake here? Why does he always have to get in the way when I'm happy about something?

"What are you doing here?" I was practically hiding behind both Sapnap and Punz.

"Well my dad had to work on something with your dad and I thought I would come along to hang out. But I didn't know Dream was here." He did know.

"Oh well we are working on our school project so we can't really do much."

"That's fine, I can help, I'm smart, like really really smart. Smarter than Dream."

"If you're smart then everyone else in this room is a mastermind. I don't think a straight F student can compare with three straight A students." I said that too quietly for him to hear but Sapnap and Punz did and they burst out laughing.

"What? What did he say?" Jake looked me directly in the eyes. I am going to die tonight.

"BOYS COME DOWN FOR DINNER!" We heard Sapnaps mom yell at us.

"Your mom offered to let me stay for dinner." We all got up and made our way downstairs. I kept my head down.

Since I was walking with my head down I didn't realize we stopped walking until I ran right into Sapnap. He looked back at me and smiled. I just looked away really fast. That was embarrassing.

We all sat down Sapnap and Punz were on either side of me. Jake and my dad were across from me and. All of Lilth's friends rushed to get a spot next to Sapnap and Punz. We all ate silently with the occasional conversation. I didn't feel like talking because both my dad and my brother were glaring at me. I didn't eat much. I hate eating. It's such a hassle and makes my stomach feel weird so I just don't eat half the time.

"So boys, how is the project going? Or have you just been sleeping and watching TV the whole time?" How does he know we were sleeping? I don't know why but Sapnap's dad just scares me a little.

"We are almost done." Thank god Punz answered and I didn't have to say anything.

After dinner my dad and Jake were getting ready to leave.

"Dream get your stuff we are going." I didn't want to. I was scared but I knew if I didn't listen I would be in so much more trouble.

"It's upstairs I will be right back." I went upstairs with Punz and Sapnap.

The moment I got into Sapnaps room I broke down. I didn't want to get hurt again, I just wanted it to stop.

<Sapnap POV>

I thought Dream was going to stay the night. But I guess his dad wants him home. As soon as we got into my room he started crying. Me and Punz looked at each other then quickly rushed to comfort him.

We both hugged him and let him cry.

"I will be right back." I don't know what it was but he didn't want to go home. His eyes have been purple since he found out Jake and his dad were here. I rushed downstairs.

"Hey so umm Dream is going to stay the night because we have lots to do on our project and it's just easier so yea bye." I didn't even wait for a response, I just turned around and rushed back upstairs.

When I got into my room I noticed Punz moved all the stuff for our project off the bed and was hugging a still crying Dream on the bed. I pushed my dresser halfway in front of the door so nobody could just barge in then I went to join them.

"I told your dad you're staying the night so get comfy." He looked at me when I said that. His eyes changed right away, the purple started fading and a mix of lime, pink, magenta, light gray and a little bit of white took over. So he was scared of his dad and Jake or maybe he is scared of his house.
