Chapter 1-First Day

<Dream POV>

I wake up to the loud, annoying sound of my alarm. Already getting a horrible headache and I haven't even been awake for more than five minutes. Today was my first day at my new school and I was dredging it. Every school experience I've ever had has been horrible and I was scared I was going to get bullied again.

But I knew I wouldn't be allowed to stay in bed all day and miss school so I turned off my alarm and got myself out of bed to get ready for my day. After taking a quick shower and changing into an oversized hoodie and jeans I grabbed my bag and made my way downstairs to where the rest of my family was eating breakfast.

My mother and brothers got up and grabbed their stuff. My mother walked up to me and scoffed.

"Get in the car unless you want to make us late." I nodded and started heading to the car. My parents and siblings didn't like me very much; they thought I was weird and annoying. I was starving but I knew I couldn't ask my mother for any food because she would yell at me and I would make me and my brothers late for our first day at our new school.

My entire family hated me for some stupid birth defect that I couldn't control. My eyes change colour depending on what I'm feeling. It's very noticeable when it happens and it's caused a lot of problems in my life so I don't like it very much. It's like a curse and for some reason everyone always feels the need to remind me it's weird.

As I got into the backseat of the car next to my little brother I saw my eyes in the side view mirror, they were mainly cyan and light blue, with a little bit of dark blue, purple, and brown mixed into it. If I wasn't so worried about what was going to happen today and knew what most of the colours meant I might've actually thought they were pretty.

As my mother started driving I just stared out the window while my little brother, Bryan, was poking me with a pencil and my older brother, Jake, was laughing at me from the front seat. I wanted it to stop, I wanted one moment of peace before all hell broke loose but I didn't say anything because that would make everything so much worse. I was starting to panic the closer we got to school. I was too focused on my breathing to realize that we were already there. I could barely breathe, how was I expected to move?

"Get the hell out of my car Dream!" My mother yelled. I flinched at how loud she was but thankfully because she yelled at me I remembered how to move again and got out of the car as quickly as I could, if she didn't yell at me I might have been in that car forever.

I followed Jake and Bryan to the front office so we could get our schedules. Jake is a year older than me and should have graduated by now but he failed the year and has to do it again. If I had to guess I would say Jake is a permanent student here he's never got higher than a D on anything and is most definitely going to fail this year too. But that unfortunately means we might have some classes together now that we are in the same grade. Once we got to the office we were told to sit and wait for the principal.

"I swear if you do anything to embarrass us at this new school I'm going to kill you." Jake said to me the second the secretary left us alone. Of course why did I think I could make it through one day without my life getting threatened by one of my 'oh so lovely' family members. Ugh. Just as I was about to respond the principal walked in and handed us our schedules.

"Hello boys and welcome to your new school. I'm Mr. Clark, your new principal. We are just waiting for some students from your grades to show you around the school," I liked him, he seemed nice. Just then three boys walked into the room, "Ok this is Colin he will be showing you around Bryan," The younger kids walked off and then Mr. Clark turned to the older ones, "And these two are Sapnap and Punz they will be showing you two around." I looked up at them and saw they were already looking at me.
